  • this is the reason i make words out of peoples license plates!!! lol

  • I miss this game show :(

  • I posted this on Buzzer Blog, and i'll post it here too: this show, Chain Reaction and Jackpot would all be perfect for revivals on The Hub(maybe after a few years, and the channel gets a good foot hold).

Basically the three shows I mentioned are pretty simple in their gameplay, and would definitely work as either purely kids shows, or having kid/adult teams a la the later years of Double Dare, or Family Game Night.

  • @Nickle98499 Basically for Bumper Stumpers, if the Hub or anyone ever revived this show, they would need to get a stable bonus round format and a stable main game format, other then those things, this show is custom made for a Hub revival.

  • i remember watching this as a kid before swimming class

  • The kind of microphone Al's wearing looks like it's from before 1985. Since this was 1988, you think he'd have a small black one like today.

  • Gotta admit, I would've killed these people at this game and I usually suck at this but I got every one in that round, and knew fork in the road after the K

  • 44BWTHU...why did they have such a difficult time with that?

  • I always wondered what those pipes in the background were there for.

  • The host has an anus for a mouth, plus it's "dollars" not "dowlers" creepy Canadian...

  • @smaqdaddy WEll it was a Canadian game show....

  • What is with those handshakes? Are you kidding me?

  • @seanaudi13 hahahah I noticed that, so not manly hahahaha

  • I remember watching this with my brother... RIP Charles ...

  • wtf with the gay handshake?

  • @smaqdaddy

omg, it's an illuminati handshake ! :) that's pretty cool (in an odd way)

  • At 5:25, did the host say Robert. haha

  • Anyone evrrrgetthhsper stumper wit 1 space

  • I think the first guy said "resistant" and the second said "resisted"...

  • The guy did say resist it. I would have said something about it.

  • not a very fun show..stupid!

  • I seriously miss Bumper Stumpers.

Also, take no offense to what I'm saying, and I don't want anyone trolling me for it either...but your current avatar on here extremely gave me a ton of nightmares as a kid.

I'm just saying, considering that I was 5 when I saw the new Tic-Tac-Dough, and having to have seen that now nearly gave me a heart attack.

It surprises me that I'm not afraid of any other dragon(especially from DragonBall Z), but THAT...whoever made that for the show perfected fear. :s

  • "I don't want anyone trolling me for it either"

Welcome to the internet. Telling people not to do something will likely make them do it. You're an idiot.

  • lol why wouldnt anyone not press the button right away, its not like they know what it says right away and they have 7 seconds to guess.

  • Great game! Haven't seen it in a while since I saw it on USA Network.

  • "You settled in with a family yet?"

    "We're still practicing."

"...that's the fun part, isn't it?"

    Hee-larious.

  • The contestant clearly said "Resist It" at 6:02. I don't know why the judges didn't give it to him.

  • Lame Theme music

  • FORCEBEWITHYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the color-coded license plates and the game play was quite smooth.

  • The buzzer is used when time is up from 1980s Pyramid at 2:15

  • This wasn't a bad show.

  • The contestant Howard looks just like Mr. Boston from I Love New York!

  • USA Network/Wink Martindale Enterpirses/Barry & Ehright Productions 1988 (C)

  • Wtf. He said it AT LEAST once (at the end) for RESSTIT and they didn't give it to him. wtf?

  • I know I thought so too...I think he first said "resisted", but he later said "resist it" at least once!

  • This is so funny to watch now as the puzzles are basically txt speak- they seem a lot easier to solve than they used to!

  • Game TV (IGameTV.*com), the Canadian version of GSN, should really pick this show up! :-)

  • I loved Bumper Stumpers's theme music. It was awesome!

  • I remember watching this on USA around 1987-90, the theme song is oh-so 80's

(Ya know, I never knew this program, as well as the 1986-91 incarnation of "Chain Reaction" were all taped in Canada until I found out online about 10-12 years ago)

  • i was dying when the guy was under the table looking for his name tag... i was like where did his partner go?? lol

  • OMG! LMAO! Holy shit!

Talk about a blast from the past!

AWESOME POST!!!!!!! FANTASTIC! I LOVED this show!

  • @baddog7676 RIGHT?!

  • This was from the second bonus round, b/c it had the champs solving a plate to double their bonus winnings. Each time they succeeded in solving a plate they doubled their bonus earnings up to $1,600.

  • Even though this show had cheap production values, it was quite fun and challenging like Al DuBois said!

    Thanks for Bumper Stumpers!!!

  • This show was taped in Canada, so like many other shows of its day taped in Canada, of course it had cheap production values.
