After saving it before going 1 step south 5 steps east and 430 steps north, it keeps freezing me on the part 430 steps north... somhow it freezes me everytime on the exact number of steps, 237...
I caught him with like 15 duskballs, except my highest pokemon was lvl 61 and those mother f-n haunters kept killing the heck out of me.
TIP: If you are already far into the game, I suggest you use a Flying Pokemon, like [my] Staraptor. They aren't affected by Earth Power, or Shadow Force, and Heal Block won't hurt you, plus you can avoid it. Slash* will do somewhat, but if you didn't defog, then he has 60% Accuracy.
*My Staraptor lv. 55 had 5/6 HP remaining after a slash, but had Roost..
If you are lower level, use a haunter that you caught. The only move that Giratina has that an hit you is Shadow Force, which has a turn 1 build up. If he disappears just switch to something like Staraptor who will be immune. He will then hit Staraptor for 0, then you switch back. You literally never take damage this way.
Um, I admire your enthusiasm, but HoO has been found many times on game with the azure flute, or arceus caught, etc. But never on a nonhacked D/P. I think it's just not possible.
nice finding. i wonder if platinum is "tweakable". i got stuck in the void in my diamond but i'll leave my gaming to platinum and just use diamond as a tweaking game file.
Nice! As a glitch hunter I'm very excited about this! I may take a break from Platinum (Wow, even more Giratina) to dive back into the inky black depths of Pearl's void. I heard that Darkrai and Shaymin won't appear in Platinum unless you activate the event. I guess Game Freak was sick of being beaten by glitches XD.
BTW, do you think Arceus will be possible to tweak? I mean, there's no way to get to it without the Azure Flute.
won't appear without an event? i guess gamefreak really doesn't want us to just get darkrai, shaymin, and arceus just like that. i mean why can't they just make them accessible in the first place?
Wow, this is progress! Pretty soon you'll find a way to heatran, azelf, uxie and mesprit. Maybe before or after you find some of those, you'll get to Arceus!

I migrate master balls on my platinum by cloning them on emerald w/o AR. I'am getting Giratina with a master ball :)
