  • Check out the Press Pass Tv Video " Fair Use for Fair Play"

  • This is awsome but my head hurts now...XD

  • watch this when you're baked haha

  • Copyright is wrong.

  • I found out Happy Birthday is copyrighted and can cost up to $10,000 to put it in a film(singing it in public is a copyright infringement)... So is that why noise pollution is a violation?

  • Brilliant.

  • I love it!! just wish youtube would understand it...

  • Fantastic you..stumbled on this through you tube copyright issues (WMG)..You must have lost/spent many hours making this video and as a filmaker I know you have had many late nights crafting this. I have had videos removed due to copyright (audio)..and it really makes me angry thinking off all those lost hours, creating something from nothing..creativity on the net has taken a bullet to the brain....

  • Excellent!

  • it is annoying

  • Fair use pretty much means u can use anything(copyrighted or otherwise) for educational purposes, for seeking critiques your own work (for example, a cover of a famous song), or to argue a point.

  • this is annoying. -.- just put the whole thing up instead of word by fuckin word

  • "...as clips from fiction films might be used

    (for example) to demonstrate changing

american attitudes toward race." ? what ?

  • that must've taken a lot of work...

also a perfect illustration of the point you're trying to make.

  • Lol i also didn't understand anything of it.

  • lrn2mute

  • Didn't understand anything..

  • lol, that makes 2 of us; funny video though.

  • Too short clips, hard to grasp even with subtitles.

  • hahaha snow white always takes so long to say her word. just made me laugh

  • wow, now THAT was a lot of editing! :)

  • lol

  • WTF? XD

  • WTF:P

  • Dumbo :(

  • You also forgot to list Dumbo

  • You forgot to list The Incredibles

  • This is brilliant. For all the people who didn't get it or who have a headache now, go read up about Fair Use and why it is so important to filmmakers everywhere, and maybe you'll see why this is exactly on point.

  • it's okay. kinda racist in a way.

  • Explain please? It is no more racist than the original Disney movies were in their day.

  • ~_0°

    *ouch* headache...

thanks for subtitleling it, otherwise I would be completeley go bananas.

    :D

  • The other version was easier to understand because each clip is it's own word. It's too disjointed and choppy the way this one is. If it needs subtitles, the point and novelty is lost. Creative, but not as effective as it could be.

  • Lol, almost gives me a headache, but still histerical. xD

  • It needs a narrator slightly louder then the animated voices (such as in a documentary where a non English voice starts out strong but is ducked to allow an English narrator to be heard but you still hear the original voice as well) because it's just painful to follow.

  • brilliant! Congrats on being seen on boingboing.

  • Part I was great! Part II is too hard to follow! Too disjointed and hard to understand even with the subtitles, Feel free to use something other than Disney cartoons! How about all those goofy old Kurt Russel Disney movies like "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes"?

  • the us government forced by the mpaa, is eroding fair use around the world before the governments of said countries, pass legislation to protect rights that current us citizens have. copy write is Americas evil empire to stop all creativeness unless you pay a royalty to the governing capitalist conglomerates spearheaded by sony and disney.

  • all this did was give me a headache.

  • hahaha that was really good and funny luved it :DDD

  • That sucks. Way too mixed up!

  • Didn't quite understand the point, but I love how it was done!

  • wow... just...

    wow

  • wow that gives me a headache.

  • that was great that must of took forever to make!

  • amazing! this must've taken AGES!!

  • omg! love it!

  • awesome.

  • Wow. A very nice piece of work (and thank you tvbarn2 for pointing it out)

  • This is pretty sweet. A great example of how to use images under the fair use doctrine.
