This guy plays fantastic, I really do not understand people when they say sounds like an etude, I don't really think so, they just envy him. I really wish to this guy all the best!
technically perfect playing, but the sound is etude like and not romantic. nevertheless one of the top three version's of the catedral on youtube! my favorite version is from Gabriel Bianco and played live!
I just try to figure out the moment when Barrios played this piece to Segovia. Andrés might have thought (as his spanish style): "who the fuck is this damn indian?" Absolute all time genius!

@TonVanis He is not Vietnamese. The person who uploaded this video is Vietnamese. The performer's name is Shinichi Fukuda. He is a Japanese born in Osaka.
@Alexlowe88 Thank you so much for your correction. The reality of virtual world sometime "you see that but it not that" and thank to all of you who that help to corrected it.Thank again.
Ignazio Fleta guitar, the same guitar played by segovia....famous for clearence and the strong volume...one of the best guitar around the world used from a real great virtuos, thank you one of the best interpretatione never heard, strong emotion....
i agree with chrisdewitte. The resonance of each note is best heard here, chaque note jouée laisse la précédente décroitre exactement comme l'exige le morceau.
You say the guy doesn't have enough expression. Remember you are in a catedral, God's house and you have to be humble in this place! Ana Vidovic lets her fire temperament overtake her entertainment; it can be usefull in some pieces of music but not in that one!
i agree. one of the things that anoye me a little bit, in both ana and in denis azabagic is that every piece that they play is always in presto, lol. in some pieces it stays cool, but i mean to play the prelude 4 (when its speed is "lento") very fast, it stays a little bit shitty. i mean, they have a lot o technique, but at the end of the day, if they are always playing fast, they will lack feeling when playing. some pieces were simply not meant to be played fast.
this one looks like a Fleta by looking at the rosette. Also in the soundhole you can see the label which has a thick border, this is also consistent with Fleta.
Brilliant and beautifully felt....you understand the piece well! Why have I not heard of you yet? Well, I have now, and I won't forget! Inspiring performance.
All three movements represent the best possible guitar music can reach. Especially the first movement, just sublime. All other great guitar musics become just a pop music in front of this one. Why this piece is seldom performed by most so called guitar virtuosos?
The best performance I've ever seen of this piece! WOW! The Allegro was almost too fast, but that may just be because I can't play it that fast XD. Every note perfectly struck...Amazing.
Well, I agree that technical perfection is something different than music, although in my opinion that is not a relevant matter in this performance.. one of the thing I really like in this one is the feel in it, especially in the first two parts, subtle, sensitive.....
But I've heard a lot of pieces which would fit the description you gave, so I know what you mean.. a pity you don't hear the other elements in this piece though, I am very fond of it.
Certainly, Fukuda's work is not that well-distributed in the US. But he is definitely on the top echelon as a classical guitar performer by just seeing this performance.
