  • That's really cool. The store ones are expensive, require a lot of grip strength, messy, and you don't get to keep your stem like this

  • @sarsattacks glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching...

  • I want to make brandied cherries and leave the stem on, so this is great! Now I just need some needle-nose pliers...

  • Bought some more cherries! Going to make another Sweet Washington Cherry Pie. I have made a few of these cherry pitters and have given them to friends, and posted your video on my facebook page as well. Great idea guys! It saved me alot of money! I am grateful. God bless! Take care.

  • Thank you it is a marvelous tool for pitting cherries! Made pitting them so easy!!!

  • @CheriG77 thanks for watching the video. Glad you found this technique to be easy!

  • Thank you SO MUCH. I picked almost 40#'s of cherries and couldn't find a pitter in the stores I went to! One thing I noticed though that the tines on the fork I used actually broke! I was worried that the little hooks you made on the inside tines wouldn't hold, but they seem to be working just fine! :D :D :D

  • @musicteacher3269 glad you found this video useful! thanks for your comment.

  • brilliant!

  • Uhm, how tedious. Just squish the pit out with your fingers, less than half a second, job done.

  • This worked great! My friend gave me some cherries since I'm dehydrating some other fruit, and I went to Youtube to find an easy way to pit them. Since I'm drying them, I pulled off the stems and went through that side.

  • WORKS BETTER TO GO THROUGH THE STEM SITE FOR ME!

  • This is brilliant! It takes a few cherries to get the hang of it, but it totally works! Thank you!

I was listing to Keith Olbermann on MSNBC while watching this cool instructable on mute, and I easily figured out your spark of simple genius. Thanks again.

  • @b1aflatoxin great feedback! thank you.

  • I used my first cherry pitter at my friends house the other day. I had never seen one or heard of one before. I thought it was some sort of weird gynecologist's instrument. Great video, BTW. Extremely simple. Simple solutions are always the best. Thanks.

  • I don't know what a Cherry Pitter is, but this is still cool
