This was actually just a storm building - hitting the mountain ridge on it's way down from Canada. Not a drop of rain...

Now 2 nights ago, the lighting was insane. I never saw cloud to cloud spider veins like that before. The ground to cloud shook the house. Awesome!

i'm very jealous. i was in michigan 2005? when a fierce summer thunderstorm knocked down crops of cherry trees and lighting slashed the sky for hours and hours... power was out for days and we were flushing the toilets with buckets of water and running the freezer on gasoline generators... but i had no camera... and missed it all. storms are cool.

In July of '85,I saw darker clouds pass over my house. A few moments later,a waterspout formed over Narraganset Bay.
