yep, i had a floor standing ticket, and it was the 7th time i saw metallica live, 3rd MH. ¿what pit??? And i'm still thinking the same. I will go to see again Metallica&Machine Head (&Slipknot) in Lisbon this year, Optimus Alive Festival, please come and compare! Good food, cheap beer, nice people, louder music, and nobody telling you that you can't cross a fucking white security line!!!!!!!
England beats all, maybe if machine head didnt have a shit sound and you could actually hear what was going on not just drum noises people would've responded differently, i was standing and everyone around us was going "wtf is this"?!
Metallica were great and I was right at the front by the stage, I will comment that when I went for a piss halfway through the Metallica set they sounded better from about 20 feet back from the front of the stage. Lars drums were cranked to the max! And YES, I am retarded thanks for that.
The Sword were alright, quite liked them. i was infront of phil demmel and the sound for machine head was absoulute bollocks, not impressed at all! Metallica abso-fucking-lutley blew me away! i would say their show was just as good as maidens at earls court '06, not as good as twickenham though! ;)

I don't think Machine Head had their sound optimized for the kind of stage that Metallica like to do! Metallica's stage is always central so everyone around the arena has a good view! Machine Head play better with a frontal stage projecting their sound in one direction. Metallica of course vlew the dome off, they were fucking amazing!
awww come on... those bands are always saying "I love the germans" or "the english crowd is awesome" and so on.
