I love this film - Road to Avonlea. why do I love it...I am a black guy and came to Canada in 2002. With this film and the present Canada, the different is clear. The old Canadian are so cultured and good accents. ...the area that amazed me is when Sara saw his Dad, she said....papa... compared to nowadays calling of -..dad .. . Lots of respect and courtships. its amazing. good stuff

I just found out a few minutes ago that Jackie Burroughs passed away over TWO months ago. The American media is absolutely AWFUL. This should have been headline news. Sickening. She was one of the most amazing actresses and I love her so much. Jackie, thank you so much for making my childhood so memorable. I always watched Avonlea with my family. What a beautiful show- now I have all the DVDs so I can still watch you I hope we will meet in Heaven..one sweet day. ~

buy 1 or 2 sets at a time. there are new digitally re-mastered sets coming out series by series. i get so much enjoyment in

watching the episodes that the expense is worth it. i wish that the series had continued. road to avonlea was one of the best tv series that the whole family could watch.

Ridiculously expensive AND poor quality! I see someone said dig re-mastered ones are coming - I HOPE so, because the current DVDs look like they just popped a cassette in a VCR and pressed record to DVD, it's definitely not worth $40/season! Will definitely buy them if they are remastered.

@badjoke88 wow took you a long long time to reply..=) what happened??.... i downloaded it from isohunt.com you have to download and nstall utorrent first(its like limewire)...and if you have utorrent then go to isohunt then just type road to avonlea..i love wind at my back too unfortunately ii had to buy the whole lot coz theres nothing on the net..larkrise to candleford is a very good english period drama tv series too by bbc.....=)
