  • This kind of live outdoor performance is amazing. The audience really gets into it, especially the last section. I wonder how many of them have heard or seen "The Lone Ranger?"

  • @ZeroEchos no, your just so unappreciative of real music you don't know what it looks like to actually play a flute.

  • @Manadox97 GENIUS GIOACHINO !

  • Dude, you guys are clearly not true berlin fans. The principal cellist is Ludwig Quandt...the principal cellist of the bpo. lol.

  • the best execution of this piece

  • is the audio out of sync with the video?

  • OMG, everyone takes their umbrellas out around 3:00. And that section's called 'THE STORM'. I nearly died laughing!!!

  • @MrLiamWright The conductor thought it was amusing too. As did everyone who thought to bring their umbrella.

  • EL TARADO QUE NO LE GUSTO EL VIDEO ES DE APELLIDO GESLER.

  • The orchestra is the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra playing at the Zimmerli Amphitheater in Barnett Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I know, I lived in S-burg for 13 years. My mother was in the orchestra since we moved there, I have been to that park, that amphitheater, heard that orchestra. I know who and where it is. Thank you.

  • @gargiligik isn't this the berlin philharmonic at the waldbuhne?

  • @foodmore yes it is

  • @foodmore

It most definitely is. The conductor is Claudio Abbado who was chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra from 1989 to 2002, and as a short image search will prove the location is the Waldbühne Berlin. gargiligik does obviously not know who and where it is even though the location (both being a kind of amphitheater) look slightly similar.

  • @ytgray Actually i'm 100% sure this is the Berlin Philharmonic because i recognize most of the players. Its funny how @gargiligik typed a whole paragraph which is absolutely wrong.

  • what orchestra is this?

  • Gracias a Dios volvieron a subir este video! es la mejor version de esta obra maestra!

  • MÚSICA CELESTIAL, SIN PALABRAS......

  • sublime

  • (_8(|)

  • Lugwig Quandt is SOOO good!!!!

  • Whoever is doing the camera work is GOOD!

  • They start The Storm, and it begins to RAIN! ...and the conductor looks back and just GRINS! ^^

  • This is the first classical piece I fell in love with as a child. Introduced to me by the Lone Ranger and Mickey Mouse and Spike Jones then reintroduced to me by my music teacher in grade school. She sat there and told us the story of William Tell then played this entire piece on the piano. And despite the mastery and eloquence of this performance, none shall compare to that first performance by Miss Dunlouvy.

  • What amazing orchestra is this?

  • @atecia

This is the Berliner Philharmoniker. Best orchestra in the world in my opinion.

  • I always enjoyed the full version of the William Tell Overture although I forget the names of the four parts contained in here. The fourth part comes to mind as the "Gallop." Hiyo Silver, Away!!!

  • I always enjoyed the full version of the William Tell Overture although I forget the names of the four parts contained in here.

  • Let it be known, let it be said. the - BPO rolls "alla Chitarra".

  • lovely cello-ist. I wonder if he is this good to all his songs, or only the slow ones...

  • Who's the conductor?

... He looks a tad like Carl Sagan...

  • @ElementsConverge The conductor is Claudio Abbado

  • Ahhh droga pura!

  • Fantastic!

  • Abbado manages to convey immense personal charm on that conductor's platform.
