  • Why do british history documentaries need so many shots of people walking on streets and standing in fields? If you have no footage to show, just show pictures of ruins or artifacts from digs, that are somewhat related to the subject!

But I love the accent. It's scottish, isn't it? That alone makes it worth watching. ^^

  • Could do with fewer shots of the dude standing upon wind-swept heights with his hair flowing...

...but not a bad watch. I like that they delve a bit more into the social structure of the late Bronze Age Britons, haven't seen many documentaries which go much beyond burials and the various henges. Thanks for the upload

  • @jarlradagast You may also enjoy Two Men in a Trench, with Neil Oliver and Tony Pollard, acting as the archaeologists they are, investigating Scottish battlefields such as Flodden and Culloden. There are lots of weapon demonstrations, discussion of tactics and strategy, funny quips and far less posturing. Not to forget the earlier offerings of Craig Ferguson in The Dirt Detective, probing into early Scottish archaeology with Skara Brae being one of the notable sites investigated.Quirky but lovable!
