i've been a die hard blindside fan since i first heard "nerve" on songs from the penalty box1.

i feel a bit weird loving this song...if it was done by any one else i would mock it.

but becuase i've loved everything else they've put out and how cool the guys have been hanging out before and after shows i will always enjoy their music.

over all i love this album

@L0ppuy The basic point of commercials is to manipulate people into buying their product no matter how crappy/good it is. Infomercials are made to inform. Why do you think that kids are sooo hyped over a crappy plastic toys on McDonald's? Most people today follow the trends. If people would have seen commercials about rock music then most people would probably listen to rock music. Just saying :)

Hey, dummies. They're ripping on "techno-core" bands who sell out to get on the radio. The sound of the song fits the lyrics. Plus, the song sounds amazing at high volume through a sub. The rest of the album doesn't sound like this.

Song is not like the others, many of you are being a bit to over the top, I understand that this was disapointing to some after the long wait, but it is not that bad. The rest of the songs I have heard from this album are great and nothing like this. Also, A Thought Crushed My Mind is 100times better then Silence.

Blindside reminds me a lot of Showbread in that they never make the same album twice.

It's a bit silly to think they would regress or think they make music for any one persons musical niche.

I don't care if they become a light jazz/polka outfit.

Blindside makes and plays good music, period.

I actually like this song a lot and I've been a fan of Blindside for a long time... the only thing I think is kinda cheesy is the little 80's hip hop sample thing in the beginning and in the middle, otherwise it's a lot of fun and way better than a lot of the songs on the great depression in my opinion

blindside is the greatest band ever. i got into them because of the cd silence, and i'll admit, none of there other cd's have come close. but just like you'd feel about your child, i'm proud to be a fan of blindside. i fell in love with silence and everything after that, i knew i would love. i love everthing that they've come out with. but silence, by far, made a huge impact on my life and listening to that cd brings back so many good memories. cant wait for the new cd.

@utopianquilts whoa whoa, i've been a fan since i was 14! Flake I will not. My husband and I slow danced to them at our wedding ha. Needless to say I'm a huge fan. Like I said, i've loved every different direction they've taken (older more hard core being my fav maybe..hard to say). Although, I'm not sure how I feel about a pop influence. This song feels easy and flat and empty. But, like @DanielmNFL said this track is different from the rest. I CAN'T WAIT to hear the rest!!! So exciting!

I Really liked the black rose ep, and the singing style is really sounding similar.

Im feeling some roots from the great depression though, and i only liked a few songs on that album. Can't wait to hear the rest of the cd, im kinda getting a good feeling about it. I know there has to be a better single on the cd. I sure hope so.

I love it. Their rock is always different in every album. They never sell out from their originality. This song is not a favorite but a great song and still something i will greatly enjoy. The main thing is im very sentimental with their music, So the song Pitiful has never met a match even from Blindside themselves. And then next in line is painting, Sleepwalking, mainly songs from silence. So making a new album with just as many amazing songs would be pretty hard.

I'm torn on my thoughts. I was really hoping this album would topple Silence, but I don't think it will. It already sounds a lot like The Great Depression, which was a good album, but I still think Silence was the best sound they ever produced. I do like this song, and I'll still support them 100%, but I'll never enjoy them like I did with Silence.
