Yet another attack from Mr. Lynne! You are a reverend? Christian leaders are meant to point the way to Christ - not to put themselves on a pedestal. By calling yourself a, 'Christian leader,' but systematically tearing down the doctrines of Christ, you are qualifying yourself as false prophet. How those who reject Christ and his claims must delight in your little manifesto's of hate and judgement against those who hold true to the teachings of Christ. You are a good ear scratcher. 2 Tim.
Lynn, my only problem is that you call on people of all faiths to oppose it. I am a person of no faith. I oppose it right along with you. Otherwise, another great speech that hits the nail on the head.
Barry Lynn has made a valuable contribution to our country.
People need to keep in mind however, there is a difference between "church and state" which has to be separate and "religion and politics" which cant be. Religious people have a constitutional right and a religious obligation to be involved in the political process
@bud4jo - Yes, they do. But they also have the obligation to remember that the rest of us have the right not to believe in their religion, or live as if we do, and refrain from attempts to codify their religion into law for the rest of us.
@bud4jo Sounds the same to me. I have no problem with religious people involved with politics for as long as they are secular reasons & not to advance religious ideologies in order to have special treatment or have power over other people.

Thank you, Barry! Frank Schaefer has seen the light - I wish the rest of the Christian Right would get a clue.......

This is what we need to hear. By the way, Obama called such legislation "odious" at the Prayer Breakfast this morning.
