  • Mathias is playing a SELMER clarinet, maybe a 4 or 5 rings + 4 rollers. The octave key is straight (not the typical albert system's swan neck key). This horn seems to be made on late 20's or early 30's. It was the top of the line albert system clarinet. It is similar to the horns played by Jimmie Noone or Johnny Dodds. They are really difficult to find! but from time to time you can find someone on EBay.

  • @albertsystem A friend of mine has a Selmer with addiional G# key for lefdthand(between F# and B (low register, also a c# B trick like on a sax. I have all that plus a low Eb on a Check" la Fleur"full boehm system
