Chris + Alain + Natasha juntos en escena = Experiencia orgásmica. Afortunados quienes pudieron verlos en directo en la gira promocional del E. Morning!
You can tell Dave loved that ! Who wouldn't ? I was lucky enough to see them at the 9:30 club in D.C. when they toured this album and they were just amazing . Best live show I've ever seen . R.I.P. Natasha , you were awesome .
they work better together than the guys from RATM. i saw this lineup a year later in denver opening for QOTSA. AWESOME show.
another interesting factoid: rik markmann does some occasional work on the hit kids series Yo Gabba Gabba. (i have 3 little ones...hence why i know this...heh)
i remember watching this the night that it aired. i was so blown away and impressed that he abandoned the grunge / metal thing. it is all so quite deliberate, the trepidation, but if there was ever a true supergroup, a meeting of talent and songwriting acumen, this was it. really, in their shoes i would trade his entire career for this one performance. i think that it was the pinnacle of his potential for artistic greatness. everything about this is perfect.
Natasha where always in the background supporting. I guess she didn`t care about the fame thing (bless her soul), but i always get wistfull and deep when i think about how much potential and talent she had compared to so many "fron figures". Chris got an amazin voice, but Natasha never got the chance to show to the world that she had maybe even a better voice -and compared to Josh Homme, oh man how embarrising to know that SHE sould be in front not Josh!
@fremmed1 She sings in some Eleven and Desert Sessions songs. Indeed, an awesome artist, without a doubt. Love her, Alain, Josh and all those friends. Rest in peace.
Cornell is a fucking genius to have recruited Eleven to help write Euphoria Morning (arguably one of the greatest albums he's ever done) AND tour as his backing band.
@opsin The reason Chris sucks now is because of Chris, not because of someone else. The great vocals and lyrics on EM had nothing to do with Eleven. Additionally Cornell's arrangements in Soundgarden were amazing. So whilst I think Eleven was the best band (post-SG) he ever had, their absence can't expalin his declining output.
@saksalainenreika irons drums on pearl jam's no code and that tour, he's on their letterman appearance in 96 and recorded yield with them too. someone correct me if i'm wrong
natasha talked chris into making this album. imagine if she didn't? i listened to this album everyday for like 2 years. its highly addictive. i was so happy i cried when chris finally taught his funny little fan band how to play these songs and he played them live for the first time in years. then he topped it off with "like suicide" and i almost fainted.
eleven made this album great...CC's gone down hill since...I mean Audioslave? please...and his new stuff with Timbaland is just plain cheesy...too bad
yeah this album is actually very good :) it was interesting side of Cornell. Though personally I don't think Audioslave was a mistake, it was a good experience and he left and closed the band before it could turn into something ugly... just look at his last 2 solo albums... what the hell?
ohh ok, thats weird, cuz i remember when it came out, all they said was that its chris cornells solo album or debut whatever, so they never mentioned a band with him. but thats interesting cuz i didnt know it would be eleven with him. im Queens fan so i wasnt familiar with alain or natasha until about 3 yrs ago
wow natasha and alain look real different, well he does, she still kinda looks the same.. wow, i remember this song on the radio wen it came out, like 10 years ago, but i didnt know eleven had anything to do with it
Jack did a lot of the drums and some of the songs were done by Matt Camron from Soundgarden. I know greg was the drummer that was on tour with them for Thunk and CC's album but I don't think he did studio drumming on the recordings. They used a drum machine on avant and greg went to puddle of mudd before the last album.
I'm pretty sure Greg didn't play drums on Euphoria Morning.
Josh Freese played on every song except for Sweet Euphoria and Disappearing One. Sweet Euphoria was all acoustic and Disappearing One features Matt Cameron on drums.
sooo awesome
Chris has the best voice ever
and the coolest hair
looks abit like Vince Chase here

Chris Cornell used to be cool, but his newest stuff (Scream) is just crap. He needs to revisit his roots and quit trying to be so radio friendly.

Johannes's guitar tones are just sublime, and they're such good writers. Howling Book and Avantegardedog I love in particular.
