@mick00guitarplayer hi,,next to mic because the mic amplify the sound becoming from your mouth and the vinil tube. In other case you can practice without a mic. you can listen the effect but if you want to play on stage you shoud amplify the talkbox over a P.A system bye,, Juan Narváez.

Heh i got a talkbox together in 30 minutes. Pretty easy to do so... i used a water hose, 2 amps and a headset. A Microphone stand + a mic ofcourse. No problem ;P

hi, you can do an ab switch using a 'dpdt' switch, it cost about U$2 or more if you want best quality.

A dpdt switch have 6 pins, to get the commutation search in google 'dpdt switch ABY connection' or something to get 1input (out of guitar or prosessor) and 2 outputs (one for amplifier and other for talkbox) you can get this option with a dpdt switch.

How does the talk box work with a mic? It looks like you're just using the mic and I'm guessing the piping is just resting nearby?

ok,,first it´s so important that you use any distortion sound because it´s most easy to modulate. The sound become the tube would to be hard and then you only do something like talk without your own voice. you can modulate with letters like "A", "ohh", "Wha", etc...other tricks when you make some voices like a pig but without the sound of your own voice.

yeah.,, you can experiment with many modulations as your teeth, tongue and all you can do when you sing normally but without your vocal strings,, the sound become from the tube and your guitar.

Yes. Anything with vibrations thrown at something rooted into something is going to eventually damage or shake it free. You need to be careful and have regular checkups with your dentist.

el microfono lo necesitas para amplificar el sonido a la consola o para grabar..para practicar no lo necesitas...debes tener en cuenta si el talbox que compras es el que necesita ser potenciado con una cabina,,de lo contrario lo podrias escuchar en el mismo amplificador...saludos

if you want to use your talk box only for practice you don´t need a mic because you can hear the sound modulated with your mouth but if you want to amplify this sound you need a mic like a pc mic or any mic plugged to a mixer and a PA system. bye

Tengo un Heil Talk Box de Dunlop y no se como conectarlo para tocar canciones como It's My Life o Livin'g On Prayer. No se si los pedales tienen que ir en un orden específico. Multiefecto Korg A5, Flanger (Boss), Acustic simulator (Boss), y Digital Delay (Boss). Necesito dos amplificadores de guitarra? y por último a que distancia debe estar la manguerita en la voca? Si alguien me puede ayudar muchas gracias...

el heil talk box funciona de la manera clásica, tienes que conectar tu talkbox al speaker out del amplificador y el sonido que sale por el tubo debe amplificarse por un microfono a la mesa de mezcla y al sistema de PA. Mi sistema es distinto, mas sencillo y facil de usar..pero igual debe usarse un microfono para capturar tus modulaciones.
