Thanks for the video I actually cut the lower round metal piece of the sim off to make it fit and even though there were gaps in between the tray I still unlocked my old iphone 4

Did it with a telus sim card. Telus was closed today so it had to be done... worst case scenario ill get a replacement for 10$

it worked for me without the pencil i just cut everything but the sim connectors, However make sure that the sim card is facing the right way and also on the right direction try all four ways until it connects successfully. thumps up so everyone knows

@topzwemmer Wow, I have 3 iphones right now two 4S and one 4.So I restored my iphone 4 and it wanted me to put in an at&t sim card to activate it.So... I found a old SIM card for AT&T that I kept from a few years back. I cut it roughly and it still wouldn't fit so I decided to cut the metal part off after comparing with a sim from my 4s that it was missing that circular metal part of the sim. Right? I put it in and it was working with No Service which activated the phone =) The fit wasn't exact!

Fake! There is a cut when you put the "microsim" in the iphone. I'm sure that you replaced it by a normal SIM card during this cut.

the way you make micro sim for the ipad is good, am sure it will work. we cant use this sim for the iphone 4 because the metal part in the iphone 4 sim is smaller than the standard sim card, although the sizes of the sim cards looks same it is not, different sims for iphone 4 and ipad, u cant use the same sim in both. I am writing this to tell some guys who might have some plan in cutting their standard sim into a micro sim to fit into iphone 4, this won't work so double check everything. cheers
