They was working on the first slide when they heard sounds like a car door slaming and thats when the geologist and other people yelled to everyone to get back and as the news crew was backing up the mnt let loose ...i live in cleveland,tn about 15-20 minutes away
this happened 20min away from my house on Hwy 64 next to the Ocoee river and i think this is the second of two slides that took place. there was a news report of a female geologist from Knoxville TN who arrived an hour or so before the slide and ordered the road crew to move away from the debris. 45min later the mountain came down on the road cutting the route from my home town in Ga to Chattanooga TN. She saved the workers asses. It took months to clear the road.

@HigherWaysWoman this was the second of two slides and a news crew was already there. a geologist saved the camera crew and the road workers lives by making them move to safety 45min before the big slide happened.

I was a Roustabout Foreman in the Texas Panhandle Oilfield. The Men learned that when I wanted safety measures taken, it always turned out that it was exactly what kept them from serious/deadly harm. It's about every1 returning to their families at the end of the work day. "Always" take care, My Friend & God Bless
