I remember seeing this on SS ONCE....and only once. I distinctly remember at the beginning, the purple guy in the yellow shirt drives an invisible taxicab and sez "c'mon guys, I'm gonna take ya to the yellow submarine"...or something to that effect.
@muppetfan33 Who doesn't love the Beatles? They were and still are the best of the best and helped shape most of the music and the pop culture of today.
@muppetfan33 Don't forget BDM, Cookie, and the Hippie (Jim, Frank and Carroll must've performed them too, if not it could've been Jane, Danny, and Caroly)
I seriously thought that the middle muppet was Big Bird before I saw him...and the one on the right sounds like Bert. Lol. That's what you get for having the same group of amazing people voice all the characters :)
OMG I remember this from when I was really little,I was maybe like 4 (so around 1970). I've been looking for this clip for years. I always remembered it. I must of liked the song.
I Love The Beatles Indeed! What a great 40+ years this show had! :-) I still love the classic Sesame Street (like this video) though. I miss the old stuff, but all I can say is THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE & VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!!!! :-) Oh yea, Thank God For Jim Henson also. He was a great Puppeteer & person who changed puppets & television!

The Beatles must've been Jim's favorite group. He sure had the muppets perform a lot of their stuff.

Let me see if I could guess the performers:
engineer: Jim Henson
Pilot: Carroll O Conner
captain: Frank Oz

@muppetfan33 You got it right, but it's "Spinney" not "O'Connor"

@Rockport269 Doesn't the pilot (Carroll Spinney) look like one of The Aquabats? (it's his aviator's cap)
