  • @camillelovesstriper6 i feel sorry for the guests then (they dont like it lol)

  • @RedEyesAndKillaHigh the reason he properly hates this is because it is on about Russia and there army and how communism is / was a threat during that time. and with them occupying their part of Germany they became poor and desperate often fighting trying not to go into poverty where as the American and British occupied parts of Germany was prospering. if you dont belive me google it.

  • I like it better in german but I like being able to sing along tto the english!! xD

  • I have to say,I have always liked the German version better than the English one,the German language just works better with this song...and with that I think I dance now:)

  • when they translated it into english it sucked.better in german.

  • @reyders2 the english version is good just not as good as the german one

  • i learned almost all my german from watching this video over and over again thanks for posting it..!!!!!!!! =D

  • this one is better

  • cool

  • Whats the german word for 99 though?

  • neun-und-neunsig, and the first part of this song is wrong... It doesn't mean red balloons. It's air balloons.

  • Its spelled neunundneunzig, and it doesn't really neccesarily mean "air" balloons it basically means toy balloons. But air balloons is what most people go by.

  • Dashes were for readability, so they could see what the word consisted of. It doesn't mean toy balloons at all. Luft is air, Toy Balloons doesn't make any since.

  • I have a very strong feeling that the author of this video put "99 red balloons" in brackets because that is the title of the official English version recorded by Nena ;-)

  • la canción está buena en inglés y en alemán...

    100 puntos!!!!

  • for me this song is very relaxing

  • whoa, it sounds very interesting in German haha

  • i like this song but i hate the english version but it's ok i love it good job

  • so much better in German

  • what does g'rade mean? the only thing i can think of is gerade?

  • It's gerade. You're right.

  • Nena has such a perfect German voice AND pronounciation1 Fabulous song,! Thanks for the lyrics

  • That's because the song was originally in German, and then they rerecorded in English.

  • Everyone should think this song is better in German lol, (Because it is)

  • does any body else think this song does sound better in german

  • NINETY NINE AIR BALLOONS FTW!!

  • liz limmon sung this on 30 rock in german lol

  • that episode was hilarious

  • The dance fits so good to the music, it's almost hypnotic.

  • Ha! This really reminds me that norwegian is half-german, I understood half the song and I don't know squatt german XD

  • even though i have no idea what she means to say.. I still like it! 99 luftasdmaksd-ons....

  • awesome video ty for posting.

  • the german version is much better then the english. i know a little german. i think luftballons means air ballons not red ballons. i think red ballons is rot luftballons. i wonder why the english version is red ballons instead of air ballons.

  • red ballons in german is just rot ballons and they say red in english caseu it flows better than air ballons lol we talked botu it in school XxD

  • LOL u were talking about german in english class. thanks for the correction

  • no ahha we were talking about it in german class ahah i take german at my high school

  • cuz air ballons in elgish is juat ballons

thay needed to fill a gap

  • very nice

  • it's a good video. i like it. The dancing girl is a good idea... and readable lyrics. gut.. danke schön

  • thank you! every one thinks it mean 99 red balloons but it doesnt! and i think the german version is better than the english by FAR!

  • The English version is not a translation, they just used red to keep the syllables the same, the songs have roughly the same meaning, but not exactly.

  • this songs cool

  • not many comments on here....

  • Luftballons means Air ballons.

    Rotluftballons is Red air ballons.

    hahaha =d

  • yes i agree..

I don´t understand how did they translate it as a red ballons
