  • thats not real foil

  • Why anyone would say this is a lie is beyond me. "The Outback Oven" works on the same principle defused heat, (the rocks on this oven) a pot and reflector. I've made numerous coffee cakes while backpacking. And the "oven" in this video does fit in your pocket. The stove part may not, but it is still smaller than a lot of backpacking stoves.

Thanks for taking the time to make this creative video.

  • Single man's cookware :-D

  • 6:32 it's an aluminum waste-land!!

  • Look ay his guns XD

    Btw are you stum?

  • BORING

  • would u ever make a stove that runs off isopropyl alchohol, i made one and it is so tiny, but could be more efficent

  • Where's the icing? You gotta have icing on the cake!

  • WOW that's incredible!!!

  • timmie, dont know about you, but whilst out in the field i'ld rather not run the risk of slicing my wrists with a piece of foil. There is only so light you can go before becoming a danger to yourself.

    Your original redbull cans rock!!

  • this made me hungry

  • Tinny, great vid. I want to make one, what kind of aluminium do I buy?

    Thank-you.

  • This is .005 tooling foil

  • Thank-you!

  • The cake is a lie!

  • ????

  • it is from a video game

  • @minibulldesign lmao it an inside joke for us gamers

  • @minibulldesign It's a reference to a game Portal. So when someone says the cake is a lie.....well you have to play the game.

  • that cake looks fluffy

  • Description says how to cook with stuff that will fit in your pocket, but then he goes on to add a bunch of other crap like that wire mesh thing and the container to mix up the batter in. Seems like it would be a helluva lot easier to bring a jetboil stove with you.

  • Have you ever tried to bake a cake in a jet boil ?

    I didn't think so.--LOL

  • It says a folding pot and oven that will fit in your pocket, which it would.

That 'other crap' is the stove, potstand and Heiny tin which you'd be carrying with you on the trail anyway, and as for the stones, oooh, where would you find those on the trail, hmmmm tricky, well thought out response!

  • @andwerver The stove and such should of already been in your pack.

  • Looked to be about a 6x6 pan. What kind of cake mix was it and how much water. I love your stoves and cooking tips.

  • awsome comentary

  • This is such a great video!

    Thanks!

  • that is really heavy duty foil what is it?

  • i think its tooling foil

  • that is tooling foil i know it because of the sound

  • Buy a disposable turkey pan from the grocers. Stretch it out, carefully!

  • Comment removed

  • @papercuts777 no just buy the heavy duty flat pans and cut off the edges, no flatening to speak of. You can line with buttered brown paper or wax paper and its ready to go.

  • @Swazooli I know what ur talking about. They have an 'x' stamped on them (for support). They're right next to the turkey 'pans'. haha

  • nice one old man

  • cool..

  • that was great. Need to learn this trick

  • bet u adolla hes retired military

  • I really hope that you have earned some money out of this project, really nice to take part of.

  • Very nice Tinny

  • That's pretty cool. Looks tasty too!

  • Great Video. Here is a idea for you. instead of putting the water and mix in your cooking pot,put the water into the bag that the mix is in and mix it up in there. then pour into the cake pan. It will save time from not having to wash yout cook pot and water if you are in a limited water area. Hope this helps. Hamm 336

  • This is a great way to cook on the trail. Also try the aluminum foil cupcake tins. They work great and you don't need to do the oragami. An old pot with some rocks in the bottom and your good.

  • wow.... awsome

  • what gives the fuel the red color?

  • I thought cooking with aluminum foil was bad for you. Because when aluminum foil gets really hot or burned it can give off chemicals that cause all sorts of health problems. Am I right or am I wrong??????

  • i dont think so beacuse its made for use with food.

  • 5:15 usb port unplugged!

  • sounded more like and error box to me?

  • if you have a pc, thats the noise it makes when there is a device that has been disconnected from the usb port.... well.... old windows version like wondows xp.

  • i saw your guns!!

    I WANT IT!!!!!!

    Just joking hehehe...

  • does he sell those lamp things? i want 1.

  • Check his website for the 10lb. baseload cd he sells. The designs are on that.

  • My bad. The "lamp thing" you refer to is an alcohol stove, and yes, he sells them on his website.

  • Ah, origami backpacking.
