By who? Delphia, Mark Ryden, me, Sas Christian, Todd Schorr, Anthony Ausgang, Bougerou, Ingres(if they were alive), Blood Artist, Gidget Gein, Robert Williams, Cliint Carney, Salvador Dali, Pooch, KRK Ryden, etc. in other words REAL artists, who do REAL art.

and WHY are they prominent and very well attended? simple. people love fads, i mean hell the worlds biggest cheeto and the virgin mary pancake get many visitors a day. does that mean they are great works of art?

First of all, what is art? You can't answer. I like Ryden & Dali, some of the others are comic book artists in my opinion but I don't deflate their talent. I agree with the cheetoh comment, then again, opinions are merely opinions. I don't care for Pollock, Rothko, and Warhol. I truly can't stand them, yet I don't say it constantly because I can't deny that their work truly created something in the culture, I can see it. Discrediting Basquiat because it's an opinion is ignorant. Art=Expression.
