You could use that to build a new PC every few years (4 or so, every 2 hardware generations give or take). That'll ensure you get roughly double the performance every time you upgrade (graphics and CPU), if not triple.

this is a horrible comparison. i own both versions and they are incomparable. the 360 is extremely low res, 30 fps max, and sloppy looking. the pc is native res, im running 55+ fps, and if u have the comp to handle it (im running all ultra, no aa deferred, 16x af), the detail and overall look of the game is stunning. console players, see it in person before you compare, these videos dont show the half of it.

I own a 360, but admitting the fact PC rapes both ps3 and Xbox, ps3 has more into it than Xbox 360. Xbox has quicker graphics loading, but ps3 has more Detail. Such as if you shoot the wall, the bullet blast appears. Also in campaign, in PC and ps3, some scenes have vision blur to effect the campaign. While 360 are missing features. But it is very minor. 360 does have bf3s most community. And it loads faster than ps3. Just fire is weaker. And very little graphical substances

The reason there's not so much notable difference between the Consoles and PC in BF3 is that DICE chooses to have less players and no jets in the console. If those 2 things are implemented, you'd see a big difference (BF3 vs MW3 difference)

All Consoles (Xbox,Ps3) have 720p while playing but pc can have 1080p if u got a good one. You can see this if you look at the HUD at the Xbox side its smaller than on the pc`s side

this is a very IGNorant fucking comparison... i have both systems and bf3 on both... i wouldnt even bother comparing the two... the 360 is on a samsung series 7 LED 42" with hdmi, the PC runs on DVI with a series 8 LED 24" on 1920 res... dont compare a 2012 2500usd last gen computer with a 2005 149usd console... its just plain retarded when it comes to games that are built around i7 processors... BF3 is still amazing and smooth on xbox, but the full experience is only for PC gamers with cash.

@ishkaboo you need a ATi Radeon 6990 running with 1600mhz ram, its pricey but the textel rate of this GPU is TWICE the ammount of the biggest NVIDIA one. textel is basically what does texture and clipping. I notice nothing but bf3 awesomeness lol

btw youtube has their video at 27 frames so you wont seethe 60 frames that the pc has but a good way to imagine it between the two is pc is fluid and smooth like cod. cod sucks but its a very smooth game so imagine the awesome possum graphics mixed with the ultra smoothness thats the major reason why pc wins. Doesnt matter, play the platform that you have the most fun in but remember on pc you get killed by an asian kid a lot btw.

I own all main consoles of PS3 and XBOX, and i also own a PC that can run my Skyrim on high.
In my opinion, after comparing this myself, their is absolutely no difference of graphics.
IGN is just making the XBOX one lag hard as fuck, as you can see.
It is not like that, they both run smoothly.

@PretendHome Its not going to be a stellar difference. That is the thing, the computer can afford to use its graphics card to render SMALL DETAILS. If Battlefield 3's graphics differed greatly from PC to Xbox/PS3, They would have to upgrade the console's or downgrade the PC's because I am sure that there is a regulation saying that the games must look within X amount of each other, etc.

Nor can it have 4x4 AA, or 32x anisotropic filtering, or any of the other awsome features on modern gfx cards. Nor can games be modded... Just that alone is a huge turnoff from consoles. The reason there's not so much notable difference between the Consoles and PC in BF3 is that DICE chooses to have less players and no jets in the console. If those 2 things are implemented, you'd see a big difference (BF3 vs MW3 difference)

All Consoles (Xbox,Ps3) have 720p while playing but pc can have 1080p if u got a good one. You can see this if you look at the HUD at the Xbox side its smaller than on the pc`s side

Althouth pc does look amazing i've tweaked my tv to make it look almost as good as a pc on my ps3 it just takes lots of fiddling (not fiddling of a sexual nature).

@maxcalcroft nope, console detail will never look as good as it is on pc, even if you fiddle around in your pc.
on the consoles the game is upscaled to 720p, plays at 30fps, on low detail level.
360 and ps3 are 6 year old hardware and dont even support direct x 10, when pc battlefield 3 runs with direct x 11
trust me a good £700 gaming pc outperforms any console by a 10 miles
