  • This song is "Requiem for a dream".

  • great anatomy.

it would be interesting seing him vs Buakaw

  • Song Name plz?

  • He looks like the bad guy who got kicked out of Shaolin school for violence. And now he wants to create a Shaolin badass army to get revenge on his master.

  • Shaolin meets muai thai, steroids and real food...now that's more like it :)

  • this isn't shaolin warrior, when he kick he hasn't block ...

  • this man is acting against the principles he was taught

  • What do you get if you combine ancient Shaolin tradition with 21st century knowledge?

    Kickboxing!

  • this guy is mixed martial arts he knows all those f*king styles

try doing some serious sport and then have a valid comment. This guy is Really experienced.

  • This is not kung fu This first karate moves and then thai boxing , some steroid boy

  • @mapimapoland3316 ever heard of sanshou? thats kung fu mixed with modern day arts, but still calssed as kung fu and he doesnt take steroids do your research :L

  • THIS SONG IS IN EVERY SIMILAR VIDEO....!!!

    I HATE IT !!!

  • his body was smoking in the end 1:47

  • actually seems more like SANDA KICKBOXING, a lot of muay thai moves also. A great performance of an effective shaolin style for a real fight. It's what shaolin is about NO LIMITS.

  • it's boxing...not kung-fu, I'm so disappointed.

  • rediculous theres alot better performances of shaolin style fighting out there, i think this guy wants to fight mike tyson with his boxing style punches, he's no doubt an athlete but show the real style of shaolin artistry?- I think bob the builder could beat this guy

  • Shaolin On Steroids

  • yeah a kung fu user using kick boxing gj

  • I'm pretty sure the songs "Requiem for a dream"By Lux Aeterna.. Not Ray Ventura..

  • sanshou, you stupid shits!

  • muay thay box

  • thai boxing`s from kung fu ...

  • cro cop one punches midget like these

  • "the ultimate guide" yeah, sure

  • kick boxing

  • This looks more Muay Thai and Sanda than Shaolin...

  • peglupo, rwšu kič

  • He is short and stubby but strong even though not quite as fast.

  • wow...super shaolin kung fu sanda sanshou

  • Too much muscle. I can't see the speed in his attacks, all I can see is a nicely build up muscle struckture, and some punches, kicks. The true power doesn't comes with the muscles, it comes with an inner harmony and knowledge of your body, mind.

  • I think this is shaolin muay Thai boxer!!!!!!! Every martial art is all about muay Thai boxer only!!!!

  • asteroidman -.-

  • Shaolin warrior use steroids :)

  • Looks more like thai boxing than kung fu...

  • @Englishdosser86 but this is kung fu sanda i believe, but not thai boxing

  • @bootyhumper666 Sorry mate. I don't think I understand your comment...

  • @Englishdosser86 you made a comment earlier about this looking like muay thai, but this is sanda kung fu.

  • @Englishdosser86 it's sanshou, which is a more modern style taught at the temple, derived from traditional techniques

  • @Englishdosser86 the basic principles are the same: hit and hurt. There aren't many kicks, punches, knees and elbows that are realy efficient in a fight. Muay thai is a very straightforward martial art, aimed solely at hurting your oponent. Kung fu has to be boiled down to be used in a fight. Flashy moves, flying kicks etc don't work as well as straightforward strikes, and can often become extremely dangerous if your opponent knows what he's doing

  • @Englishdosser86 It IS Thai Boxing...

  • @Matamune87 Thai boxing isn't the only fighting system, with punches, knees, roundhouse, etc. Human beings are human beings, there will only be certain ways a human can attack. Sanda which is what this does, is just basic kung fu (along with basic throws) for sport purposes. If you know thai boxing and Sanda, you will know they have similarities because of them being converted into sport fighting, but there are also differences. Only the ignorant can't differentiate.

  • @wonphi "Thai boxing isn't the only fighting system, with punches, knees, roundhouse, etc." Yes, is it. But Sanda was created by chinese in the 80s to have their alternative to Japanese Kickboxing and Muay Thai. Sanda is NOT Kung Fu. Is only Kickboxing + takedown techniques and other techniques allowed by the regulation. Kung Fu is Wing Chun, Taiji (the REAL Taiji, not the healthy gymnastics for old people), Choi Lee Fut, etc. Not Sanda and Not "shaolin monks" (one of the the biggest...

  • @wonphi ...fraud in the martial arts history).

  • @Matamune87 If you only knew anything about shaolin kung-fu... stop trying to pretend that you know everything. Sanda is not kung-fu but it's based on kung-fu. Shaolin monks a fraud? Why don't you go there and see for yourself?

  • @BranRudy If you go there you will see Wushu (artistic gymnastics with movements ispired to martial arts spinning weapons heavy such as feathers), pseudo-Karate with some pirouette, circus tricks (like the spear in the throat) and someone who practices Thai or Sanda to say "look, we fight too!!!". All of these was created in 80s by Chinese PRC and showed like the "ancient mother of all martial arts". Ask yourself why you ever see "monks" not older than 20-25 for example.

  • @BranRudy I don't pretend that I know everything, but if I know something i like to tell this to help people open their eyes. But if you like belive in fantasies you are free don't read me ;-)

  • @BranRudy they are certainly great athletes with a good physical training, but not martial artists. Real Kung Fu is more similar to Wing Chun ;-)

  • @Matamune87 b !tch please, I don't know where you were looking but I most certainly saw elder monks. I'm 100% sure you would see wu-shu because everything we call kung-fu IS wu-shu.The things you call artistic gymnastics are a part of any martial art: things like kata in karate and forms in kung-fu, the purpose of practising those moves is to strengthen and help your body remember the moves/techniques(something called muscle memory). First of all wing chun is one of the youngest

  • @Matamune87 styles in kung-fu and not the only style. All kung-fu is REAL there are just different styles. The thing about martial arts is that all of them were at some point created for military or selfdefens purposes. During long periods of peace people didn't have to or couldn't train the same way so they developed forms/kata so they could train by themselves. Next step in evolution of any fighting style is sport or training just for health.

  • @Matamune87 So the monks not needing to use their style to fight they train it for health but that does not mean it can't be used for selfdefens. And it does not mean that you can't modify it to fit sport fights

  • @BranRudy Seriously how this:

    v=3JgMmj4XnEI; v=c2RFx-6WrBM; v=PDRcSOxPi-s; v=A7Q30_9ZbYI

can be used for self defence? And where is the relation between those videos and this? v=TQQELHlVQiM

  • @Matamune87 the only thing that you proved now is that you don't know how to read. As I said before there are exercises that are meant to strenghten the body, make it more flexible so you can hit harder, kick higher etc.5bbO9jPyE0k forms are in every style of kung-fu v=6NagW6BImF8 in some you have more fighting applications in some you have more conditioning applications. Go and read some more about martial arts or try some

  • @BranRudy Yes, but exercises to strenghten the body must be functional for the martial art. The best way to train something is doing that thing. The best way to train kicks is kicking people/bags/pao/something, not doing acrobatics jumps. Their training is more similar to the dancers or gymnast one then the training of a fighter or WC/Taiji practitioner. The forms then are very different to realy traditional Kung Fu styles. The form must contain the techniques of that martial art and that...

  • @BranRudy ...and that techniques have to be usefull for fighting and for martial purpose (look for Siu Lim Tao for example).

  • @Matamune87 Shaolin kung-fu is traditional kung-fu just like taijiquan. Not every taijiquan exercise is functional for the martial art. That is true for any kind of martial art. For example in Silat during a sparring fight you can only make 6 attacks/moves(if I remember correctly) after that you have to make some crazy little dance and the fight continues. Tell me how is that functional? We can argue about this for weeks and you still won't get it. Over and out.

  • @Matamune87 One last thing:(look up dr.yang jwing-ming) I was training in one of YMAA branch schools, Master Yang among other things was trained in shaolin kung-fu styles- go and tell him that shaolin kung-fu is a fraud. Good luck and bye

  • @Matamune87 only if you are ignorant...Sport fighting is sport fighting, there will be rules and regulations to limit the move sets to certain attacks for the safety of the athletes....please don't be so single minded...

  • @wonphi where is the difference between a boxer pounch with gloves and a finger hit to the eyes? Or between a ThaiBoxer's normal front kick and a kick in the balls? The "regulation" is only an excuse. The real traditional Shaolin Kung Fu exist but not in China where in the cultural revolution Yip Man had to run away to Hong Kong to avoid being captured, imprisoned and tortured (like many others martial arts masters), and some years later chinese government "rediscovered"...

  • @Matamune87 that's not the problem, the problem is when people say Sanda is basically muay thai, it isn't, the history is different and there will be many similarities between different styles. the point is that muay thai is a sportified version of an older thai style called Muay Boran, and Sanda is just fundemental kung fu techniques used for sport fighting. That is where their similarities lay. Real kung fu was never meant to be a sport.

  • @wonphi Shaolin Kung Fu and restructured the destroyed temple putting their "monks". Read the Tiziano Terzani's book for this. That not every taijiquan exercise is functional for the martial art is false (I'm talking about authentic Taiji) and some crazy little dances (like the Ram Muay for example) are linked to the population religion and culture.

  • @Englishdosser86 Thai boxing isn't the only fighting system, with punches, knees, roundhouse, etc.

  • @wonphi Here's some advice for you oh might sifu: try not to be a douche.

  • @Englishdosser86 Take your own advice my friend :), sorry you had to take information so personally.

  • @wonphi 'Only the ignorant can't differentiate' is not an impartial piece of information. It was meant in the douchiest way possible. I stick by my advice.

  • @Englishdosser86 lol, ignorant? douchie? ignorant means not knowing which was presented, and considering I have done both Sanda and Muay Thai, I know where the difference and similarities lie. I think you should stick to your advice and keep quiet if you do not know what you are talking about, it's not about ego, it's just about putting out what is right, and sorting out what are misconceptions put by people who obviously do not know what they are talking about. No more no less.

  • @wonphi Once again, another douche-esque comment. You used my comment as a springboard to prove how clever you are. You didn't ask any follow-up questions to find out how much I knew or what my point was. Really, I could have used kickboxing or boxing, instead of Muay Thai. I was basing my comment on what I could see in this video, which from 1:38 is pretty generic. If you're going to start throwing a hissy fit and say: "because it's a fighting sport"...

  • @wonphi "If you know these martial arts in depth like "I" do, you would see there are similarities and differences" - well I don't care. There are similarities and differences in all martial arts. I know what kung fu looks like. I know what muay thai looks like; the moves in this video are similar to one more than the other. The name is similar to one more than the other.

  • @wonphi If it's going to advertise this guy as a "Shaolin Warrior" despite showing nothing remotely resembling Shaolin Kung Fu, only some generic-looking, sport version of kung fu, then obviously people are going to comment. If you can`t understand why this was not what most people wanted or expected from the video title, then you`re an idiot as well as a douche.

  • @Englishdosser86 lol typical response from a typical youtube nut. He isn't advertising anything, he is advertising himself. He studied in Shaolin, and before that, his basics were from Sanda. he knows some shaolin stuff, and he is routed with Sanshou techniques. Now don't be such a sore loser and call people names because you were too stupid to tell the difference between styles. just looking at martial arts does not give you enough to think 2 styles are the same lol.

  • @wonphi I don't think that the two styles are the same. Did you even read my response? This is quite simple, but I will break it down so that you understand.

    1. Video called 'Shaolin Warrior'.

    2. Video shows martial arts that does not look like title.

    3. I comment that looks more like muay thai.

Where exactly am I wrong? Which part of that was nutty?

  • @Englishdosser86 Precisely, I just said that it's not more like thai boxing than kung fu. If you knew the roots of kung fu, you would know that all the techniques he shows in this video is also from kung fu (only the sandard basic techniques btw), the only thing that resembles thai boxing is the fighting stance, due to his sanda background, taking advantage of using big gloves to block and a stance for quick kicks due to omissions of takedowns, muay thai is a sport too.

  • @wonphi Are you saying that you don't understand why someone who clicked on a video called 'Shaolin Warrior' and expected Shaolin Kung Fu would be confused when they see this? If they had a video of an Shaolin monk in a Shaolin temple, but had him doing a take-down and an armbar (MMA style), I would make a similar comment. The reason people have given me thumbs up isn't because it was a clever or insightful comment, or that they're ignorant - it's because this was not what they wanted to see.

  • @Englishdosser86 You would be surprised how many ignorant people there are that love to comment about martial arts, but never give a crap about it in their life. Funny thing is, what do people expect from shaolin kung fu? It's not this monk's fault that his base was in Sanda (a sport) & he likes to apply what he has learned in the temple to his favourite hobby? One thing is that people should not expect a certain look from "kung fu" b/c it is a very individualized experience.

  • @wonphi I think that that might be fair if it said 'Kung Fu Warrior', but it doesn't, it says 'Shaolin'. I can't speak for everyone else, but when there is a video about a 'Shaolin' warrior, I expect Shaolin style Kung Fu, i.e traditional Kung Fu taught in the Shaolin temple. As you probably know, Kung Fu styles are extremely varied, but if you are going to define yourself (at least in name) by one style, but in practice are heavily influenced by another, people are going to pick up on it.

  • @Englishdosser86 you have a point, but even the revered shaolin temple (at least the tourist area of the temple) concentrates on Sanda fighting on their applied aspects of the art (unfortunately) so sanda/sanshou, is also part of the modern shaolin curriculum to an extent, other than the traditional forms. Only a few practitioners know how to use proper traditional training for fighting, but then they are the ones that view it as a way of life/survival and not a sport.

  • @Englishdosser86 I don't know where you come from, whether "ignorant" is suppose to be an insult or a word "douches" use, but where I come from, it just means "the person did not know the fact that.." I was just presenting info assuming based on your comment, you didn't know the difference between the 2 styles. Then you replied with that ever so constructive comment. that's where the 'nutty' part came in, seems like I inadvertently hurt your ego, which was was not my intent...

  • @wonphi Now before you start complaining about my ego, I'm not the one who's been lecturing people they don't know about what is "correct", neither have I told you anything about me or my knowledge about martial arts...but you felt the need to tell me about how you've studied both sanda and muay thai.

  • @Englishdosser86 It's funny watching ignorant people like you fall and say you did that on purpose to pick up sand. not man enough to admit anything, nor put up with constructive criticism. listen buddy, not everything is an ego thing, if everything is an ego thing to you, than you will be one sad sad individual in life. It's okay to be ignorant, not everyone knows everything. Nothing more nothing less..yet again.

  • @wonphi I'll remember all of that next time I click on a video called 'Shaolin Warrior'. Douche.

  • @Englishdosser86 he is a warrior and part of Shaolin in every sense, you just need to not go over your head, iggy. :)

  • Shaoline gay

  • @EsqualidusPflip Tu abuela

  • MEAN!!!!!! saw some boxing and muay thai in there though

  • his muscle is natural than those mechanical trainers in gyms.

  • He is not very flexible.

  • After 1500 years of shaolin it seems it just comes down to boxing, western boxing I mean. Powerful by any means but come on you spend all that time and effort to learn what can be learned in half the time.

  • The MMA, Bellator is waiting??

  • omg he's soooo AWESOME!!

  • KOX

  • bello

  • If you need to hold your leg up, you need to work on your core strength and flexibility.

  • he is clearly using some boxing and muay tai

  • @agus0721 he's using Sanda, which is Chinese KickBoxing. if you kick a Sanda player, he grabs ur kicking leg then punches you in the face.

  • Fusing ancient Shaolin tradition with cutting edge 21st century steroids.

  • Guy 1 : 0 Air... naah, just joking. still better than me. :P

  • this ain't shaolin..

  • Isn't this Kickbox?

  • Versus Optimus ... = little dick ... :D

  • @Fallan1990, what does this monk eat? Does he eat meat, eggs, or dairy? Is he vegan? Thanks!

  • This is not Shaolin Kung Fu. Boxing skills and Karate kicks. And the guy is not so flexible and fast.

  • HE CAN WIN TO PACQUIAO ,.

  • This monk is ripped, jacked and juiced.

  • For those who don't know what Boxing or Muay Thai is. What this man is doing is no where near the traditional Monk Kung Fu. But Muay Thai and boxing. Just cause the title states ''SHAOLIN WARRIOR'' does not mean he's using their traditional form of self defense use by Monks. Reasons? Shaolin style won't do them no good in a cage, fact. The above Shaolin is performing the traditional kick boxing stance and punching skills, not a Monk style what so ever. You've been deceived.

  • @martinez418 You're deceived, He's doing Sanshou and the monks practice Sanshou in the temple in the china, The man isn't using Muay thai, You're wrong and know nothing, The man in the video has studied at the Shaolin Temple in Henan province.

  • @StarJourneyer Sanchaou? how gullible of you. It's evident YOU'RE the 1 person that knows nothing in the art of fighting. You can clearly see this ain't Sanshou kiddo. You can see he clearly does his traditional snap hits then later mixes it up with boxing upper cuts and over head snap shots use in traditional kick boxing, not to mention the Uchigeri kicks performed as well. All this leads to Muay Thai child. What you did is Google what they practice without you knowing the differences in view.

  • @martinez418 I practise Sanshou you idiot, The monk is mixing traditional Shaolin forms with Sanshou, alot of ignorant people like you think this is Muay Thai, How arrogant of you to say I know nothing in the art of fighting when I train Sanshou, 99 percent of people like talk like you have EXPERIENCE in training martial arts when you don't, You Youtube martial art styles and then think you know about it when you don't, Sanshou is not Muay Thai, When will dumb people like you learn.

  • @StarJourneyer You and every ding wit fool in here implying they also know every fucking fighting art in the world. This is you tube dip shit, that alone proves you're no practitioner but only a spectator; not to mention your inabilities to distinguish it's differences in striking and kicking. Don't come in here yelping what you ALLEGE you know, when in fact you do not. I've proven it by explaining it's diversities; but yet you're still living your own imaginary world. Take care child.

  • @StarJourneyer I never said Muay Thai is Sanshou child? you did. You did by implying this is Sanshou when in fact it's not. Now child, do you understand how easily you get confused within your own fallacies?. lol

  • @martinez418 Some parts of this video do display Sanshou, Research Shifu Yan Lei, That's the person who is in this video, Most parts of this video are Shaolin Forms, "You and every ding wit fool in here implying they also know every fucking fighting art in the world.", I didn't say I understand know every martial art in the world, It's your egotistic illogical self who thinks that, Point me out a sentence where I said I know every martial art. I think you should just stop, you lose.

  • @martinez418 reading the description it does say mixing 21st century fight science with shaolin temple traditions. I know quite a bit about other styles but i am not saying that i know everything though. I know that shaolin fighters learn traditional animal forms to practice flexibility and balance while they practice sanshou when sparring which mixes striking/grappling/holds. this shi fu is simply mixing one of the grandfather of all asian MA with modern boxing and kickboxing.

  • @rice2k4 Just don't say/explain what you indicated to @Starjourneyer he might have a heart attack.

    Good deal bro.

  • 2 did a good handle

  • Incredible Speed..

  • The song?

  • Fuck, this monk is all beefed up and jacked. You sure he is still a vegetarian?

  • Its more scary to see a buff azn then a buff black or white guy and especially if he can fight too

  • what if we take a real shaolin monk...

and put him in the MMA

  • Hes kinda slooooooww, for shaolin............. watch other videos and youll see.

  • Ripped, muscular, powerful, awesome kicks and punches... standing 4 feet tall. Sorry... but you can't compete with the heavyweights.

  • thumbs up if confused with the thumbnail of this video :)

  • He's VEGAN, like all shaolin monks are... :)

  • so modern day kung has basically evolved into a weaker version of muay thai basics?

  • a esto es lo que yo le llamo kung fu shaolin

  • Come on this is not Shaolin, this is just sterile propaganda. Shaolin is firstly a philosophy where the monks surely are not interested in showing off their muscles.

  • @dec041 He is real shaolin, And he's not showing off muscles, he's just very strong and extremely fit.

  • @DaTruthsHere Sorry I strongly disagree. If he didn't want to show off his muscles he could have dressed a basic pant and shirts combo. Monks are serious people not for shows.

  • i didnt see a lot of shaolin in there... more like an odd form of kickboxing

  • I GIVE UP ON FIGHTING USING MY BARE HANDS after seeing this guy. I'll stick to my guns and knives....

  • WTF.

  • Him v tony ja = great box office fight

  • he has a quite good technique, but for being a shaoling warrior he lacks of flexibility, or at least shows less than i expected when i read shaolin warrior

  • @Luxenfaust i agree..this guy seems sort of a fake, but it could be that he is showing moves that is the least expected from us 21st century generation LOL.

  • @Luxenfaust I dont know should it be reason but maybe cause he has more massive/buliker build then ordinary shaolin wich are forbiden to eat meat.

  • @Luxenfaust He does look a little sluggish and stiff, maybe just a little muscle bound.

  • @Luxenfaust i see exactly what you mean but if you watch on of his other videos called path of urban warrior you can see he does splits like its nothing :)

  • @Luxenfaust

you loose flexibility with weight training ... i think hes been weight training. Shaolin monks are more flexible because they are skinny with big muscls the range of movement gets limited.

  • @TheSirSneaky Go tell Bruce Lee that. He weight trained nearly every day, and his range of movement was amazing...

  • @KieranP88

i am talking about big guys not skiny rats.

  • @Luxenfaust I know the guy, he can drop into a front or box split in a second

  • looks more like a blend of pro boxing, karate and taekwondo to me

  • nice

  • The first Kung Fu dude who`s not looking like a fool from a Jackie Chan movie to me!:-)

  • that is the definition of warrior

  • Are Real Monks Really That Big?

  • The power of kung fu, if you can be mind, body and mind in the Shaolin philosophy, will be invincible. It is a splendid art when it is the truth therein.

    Forever Kung Fu.

I training eagle claw. From Brazil.

  • ohhh yesss niceeeeeee

  • i would love to see this guy in the octagon

  • @tkdmaste12 whats that octagon?

  • @tkdmaste12 i belive he would seriously harm someone

  • @tkdmaste12 me too... versus a bjj guy..

  • i think the idea is that it furthers them spiritualy, whilst making all the arsehole bandit types think 'i do not wana fuck with a temple load of those monsters' thus keeping them safe healthy and spiritualy awesome

  • You scared my ass

  • what is the name of this song ??

  • @mrjosephgalea Requiem for a dream - clint mansel

  • Name this song?

  • i'm a bit skeptical that that guy is a pure shaolin monk...you would get a built like that on a pure vegetable and noodle only diet...protein protein protein :)

  • @tagabukastubo This!

  • holy shit that guy is built, wouldnt want to fight him

  • 9 people would get their asses handed to him.

  • sick men of asia...XD

  • what's the name o that music ' please ??

  • Will it blend?

  • I saw this guy fight live and do a demonstration I can assure you all that those sticks n bricks that broke looked very real, also those kicks he was taking on his body looked very real and loud. So don't know about styles but this guy was a fighting machine. He took blows n kicks from a row of 10 guys and it was like nothing. We humans have two legs and two arms and there is only certain numbers of combination of kicks and punches.

  • Muy lento.

  • is it true that no one in china is allowed to teach you kung fu or is not supposed to?

  • @molterack

not anymore but lots of masters still don´t really teach the whole think as you can see on 90% on the youtube videos. this also supports the klishee that kung fu is useless shit because too many white people who call themself a teacher just suck

  • He looks like he trains MT with a dash of western boxing. And works out at a gym.

  • This guy would kick the living shit out of all MMA and maybe UFC.

  • Comment removed

  • esta musica ya la odio por ponerla en tanto youtube

  • @ErikJUTbe Agreed

  • Bullshit thats Shaolin style KF... Thats just BS trying to make monks look hard.

  • @dalehcw If you knew how to read this thing called the fucking description, you'd know that this is a combination of traditional Shaolin fighting techniques, and 21st century KNOWLEDGE(meaning of fighting in general UFC, Boxing, Muay Thai, and the likes) and not just Shaolin "KF." Just trying to prevent you from looking any stupider.

  • Whats up with the twisted low punches? Is he hitting the opponent's chest or something?

Gymnast on steroids that pretends to know how to fight.. REAL shaolin monks with 1/10 of his weight will smash him.

  • wait till one of these guys gets into the UFC...

  • This is indeed bullshit! Just buy a gun... Why go through all this ballbreaking bullllshit?
