It doesn't matter what the size of the satellite is, when it comes to developing the control systems to handle the complex manoeuvring involved to place them in orbit. It is an exceedingly complex orbital dynamics problem and there are no exaggerations about it.
And don't make destructive comments about US shooting down satellites. Why the hell would any country want to shoot down satellites meant for telecomm and scientific experimentation ?
