The way its described its like an oil by product or alloe with this strange bacteria and white blood cells inside. It sure seems man made to me. But what were these people thinking when they decided to handle it? Some even took the risk of bringing it into their homes. Never touch an unknown substance. NEVER

Small towns are particularly vulvnerable to this type of outburst as they tend to be rumor and gossip mills.

Sounds to me like a plane transporting bio feed dropped it's cargo one day and the story just grew out of proportion. 7 weeks of flu? Not very likely. Phantom sickness.. probably.
