I think this song is a perfect artistic expression of just how many people feel towards Plath. I know I do. After reading her poems, I feel a desire to have known her, to be around her. Great song. She was a hurt, fragile-looking woman. A poetic genius. An artistic giant.

I would not Anne Sexton was not at ALL a better poet than Sylvia Plath. Although they parallel in the confessional poetry and feminist movement they are very different. Sylvia has an original voice that will always stand on its own and could never ever be compared to anyone else. She is a great pioneer in American literature.

Unfortunately not. He has a fanbase here, but I think Americans (speaking as one) generally have to be told what to like (either by critics or the mainstream media). Ryan Adams isn't widely covered by the mainstream media, and isn't highly thought of by critics so he's kind of in limbo in that regard.
