This is all wrong. Ancient Greece fell because of another country with a more powerful military and better military leaders. Ancient Rome fell because of poor leadership (sort of similar to turning their backs to the principles that made them great, but not the same thing) and greed. The British Empire did not fall, their leaders dissolved it because of their territories wanting independence and because after WWI and WWII, the world decided that empires should not be as common and change.

@threecards333 I understand your point. But it does not change my disappointment that they tried manipulating us with bad subtitles. I liked the lecturer's words; they were more general and more historically based (fall of rome analogy to fall of US, etc) and didn't pinpoint anything about specific people. Either way, I got the message, I just wished they had accurate subtitles so I wouldn't feel awkward knowing many others are being manipulated, not knowing mandarin.

The first half of this translation is all correct until Ron Paul was mentioned. There was no Ron Paul coming out of the lecturer's mouth at all -_-. I saw this same ad on tv earlier this year...It didn't play for long, and it didn't mention any of the Ron Paul stuff, and it also didn't show the kid pulling up Perry on his computer, I believe in the one I saw he was looking at the American flag.
