  • Never can say good-bye

  • amazing. gets me every time. I grew up watching them and thier as much of my heroes now as they were then. I <3 YOU GLODEN GIRLS

  • 1 left from that scene.....*sigh*

  • The perfect way to end such an amazing series

  • Love Golden Girls

  • I'm Spanish. And yes, Benny Hill is actually funny. You wouldn't know that as you think this programme is.

  • For some reason, i feel this is how my last day at home leaving for college will be like :(

  • the end of bad clothes, bad acting and more middling American crap recognised as near genius.

  • @thisherecat2 You have a lot of nerve, limey. As if Benny Hill was so much better.

  • I balled my eyes when I first saw the finale (as did so far 207,619).

  • dorthy kinda reminds me of my neighbor/friend jackie

  • The most thing they do every time eat cheesecake!!!!!! yummy cheesecake P.S I miss the golden girl....

  • @fanban128 Woah! After seeing this so many times, I've never noticed that before! It's actually a bit creepy lol

  • omg :'''''''''( I love these guys so much <3

  • I think Golden Girls-the iconic characters, the house, etc-represented, for many people (including me), a feeling of profound comfort. It was rock-solid friendship between these four ladies, and a place we knew we could escape to if we ever felt sad, insecure, judged, or worthless. We as an audience always knew that, no matter who we were, we'd always be accepted by Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia.

Many shows are hysterical, but few shows created characters so totally loved. Fantastic

  • so sad...

  • 1/3 of all tv viewers that night were watching the finale to this marvelous show. Can't say the same for any modern shows.

  • I always pictured Bea saying to all of them.."thank you Ma, Rose, Blanche....for being a friend." [closes door]

  • Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Estelle Getty, AND Leslie Nielsen. I'm not sure what is sadder; this scene or that none of those people are around anymore.

  • i always thought the show would end with sophia's funeral

  • @jedimaster1326 you couldn't have been more wrong. Sophia is on the follow-up show Golden Palace being the cook in the hotel :)

  • @shairaptor

    oh, lol

  • One of the best comedy ever On tv. I shed à tear on this part. Thank You for being a friend!!!

  • I instantly burst into tears at the beginning.

  • this is the best and funniest show ever:)

  • i love this esp of the golden girls!! :) its funny when she run in and out!!

  • I think when Bea Arthur looks at the camera at 2:57 it is absolutely so emotional and heartbreaking.

  • this was the best show on in the 80's

  • It was very sad to see 7 years of laughter and stories come to an end the people of today will never know good tv shows like golden girls

  • Very sad that everyone in this video is gone but Betty White. I hope Betty lives to see 100.

  • What makes the last part so sad was that their tears were real.. It wasn't fake... I'm pretty sure after working on set for 7 years and sharing so many memories with laughs and acting.. You become family with your cast members...

  • REAL TEARS, REAL EMOTIONS! THIS WAS THE REAL END! EVEN THE PRODUCERS, THE WRITERS BECAME VERY EMOTIONAL DURING FILMING

  • This is so heavy in my heart :-((((((((

  • I watch the Golden Girls every night ...Love this show :)

  • I never noticed this until now, but when they are hugging and crying at the end, they seem to form the shape of a heart.

  • These weren't just characters, they were our friends. They still are. Golden Girls forever:)

  • I grew up as a kid watching this show, I missed these old ladies. I'm just glad Betty White's still with us, thank God!

  • @metalslugxBTB exaaactly what the hell happened to tv there is too much garbage on way too much garbage on!!

  • RIP all five of you xx You will never be forgotten.

Bea, Rue, Estelle, Herb, Leslie. Live a long life, Betty! It's ironic how Betty was the oldest and she is still alive.

  • I just watched this on TV... I cried again, at least I think so. I'm sure I did the first time I saw it. I dont understand why it's 'goodbye' though. Is she never going to see them again? How can that be? Why did you leave the show, Bea? D':

  • IM CRYING!! :'( :"0 (SNIFFLES) THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND TO ME GOLDEN GIRLS!

  • i was trying sooo hard not cry. so many years. and Betty White's the only Golden Girl left. very upsetting ending scene. )':

  • I cant help but just laugh my head off at 3:21

  • im about to move from all my friends, idk how im going to do it smh, never easy is it

  • I remember this scene. It wa so beautiful. I watched it when I was like ten or so! It was a time when I was really happy in my life! Who would have known that things could have changed so drastically in just ten years. R.I.P. to those on the show and those that I have lost during those special moments! I will never forget you!

  • Bea, Rue and Estelle

You are forever missed and you will never be forgotten

We will always keep you in our hearts

  • I doubt the tears shed at the end were acting

  • press 7 for the funniest part

  • What the fuck happened to TV?

  • RIP To everyone in the room except Betty White!

  • Why would she never see her mother again just because she's getting married?

  • @VattesLori Her getting married meant that it was the end of their 7 years. No more laughter, no more scandals, no more cheesecake...well there might be, but without all 4 girls there it would never be the same.

  • look at 2:58 seconds....she looks at the camera...... so sad :(

  • you can tell that there was no acting there, it all came from the heart....... thank you for being a friend

  • this has got to be one the best ways to end a great show. it makes you cry but they still make sure to find a way to make you laugh one final time for the show

  • I know what you mean StreathamG. Its a great show and there will never be anything like this again ever! I love you girls...

  • Love this show!! still watch it to this day!! so sad it had to end

  • @AmyLeeRocks101 Ten years old? Your parents let you watch this show?! LOL Wow, such progressive parents YOU have.

  • i always cry whenever i watch this. always.

  • @fleebub me to its just so sad

  • I cried so hard at the end! Sophia and the others acting was amazing! There emotions and feelings looked so real.

  • @sccl77 I don't think that was acting. I think those tears were real.

  • Thank you for being a friend.

  • that has to be the worst ending of a show ever. Why could'nt they just have left on a happy note. Then they put that god - awful spin off The Golden Palace on the air. Terrible, just terrible:(

  • @mambro95 I wish it would have ended good too! This was so sad! Even now, when I watch this, it's still a tear jerker.

  • @AmyLeeRocks101 naw not all but definantly most. i havn't seen about 10 episodes

  • @AmyLeeRocks101 hhaha ya i remeber that!!! hey do u remember when rose brought over dr. johnathen newman (the midget) and blance walked into the room with the ordervs and yelled "Shrimp?!' hahaha u could see her struggling to keep a straight face! :)

  • @AmyLeeRocks101 that was when rose and sophia were playing scrabble and sophia played "disdam" as a word. rose said that wasnt a real word and asked her to use it in a sentence. so sophia said "ur no good at disdam game" hahaha i <3 her

  • @CookieCream911 oh wait iot wasnt rose it was dorothy haha just type in Golden Girls - Disdam

  • I am 13. Will be 14 in a month (my birthday is the same day as Estelle's) and I absolutly love this show. When I was about 4 I had 4 Goldfish and I named them after the Golden Girls. I know its cheesy, but I loved them then and I love them now..... I love you Bea,Estelle,Rue,and Betty.......You will always be golden in my heart.....

  • @AmyLeeRocks101 ive always favored dorothy. i mean shes just so funny in the way where she tells a joke and then doesnt even smile or laugh. she just has charm about her :)

  • Love this episode!so sad at the end.I cry no matter how many times I see it.thanks for being a friend Bea,Betty,Estelle, and rue:)

  • I bet the tears and feelings they had in this scene were real. 100%.

  • @sessy2010 Oh, for sure. I believe it! Very bittersweet. Gets me everytime.

  • @sessy2010 believe it or not, they actually were.

  • I am a guy and I have to admit, this is one of the very few moments in television that always gets me choked up and crying. The chemisty that these four women had is unparalleled and touching. This was easily the best sitcom of the 1980s, even better than the Cosby Show or Cheers.

  • I feel empty...

  • Why did this show end? i'm happy it's still on the hallmark channel tho. This episode was on just yesterday and i thought. How come not one more EP after

  • man I miss this show

  • *choke* aww i miss them! :'( this show is truly special.

  • Sophia Died the Next Day.

  • GOLDEN GIRLS 4EVER! (sniff sniff) :'''''(

  • The Golden Girls was the best sitcom EVER! They can still make me laugh and I guarantee I have seen every episode more times than I can count!

  • I remember my Grandmother watching and loving this show when I was a kid. I am nearly 32 now and it has become my favorite show. There's even a running joke Blanche, my best friend is like Dorothy, another friend like Rose, and we all will strive to be like Sofia in our old age lol. Rest in peace Rue, Bea and Estelle and long life to you Betty. You are are very much loved bye the world over!

  • Golden Girls is such a great show :) I llove it...

  • who the hell six people who dislike dis ? leave ya negative to yah self and let us fans enjoyed this.

  • I'm 18 years old and I have been watching this show my whole life. It never gets old to me. When I heard Bea, Estelle, and Rue passed away it felt like I lost a family member I was heart broken. I will never forget watching this thinking they are all still alive. This is show isnt really the same watching anymore. We all love you Betty White! Stay strong.

  • RIP Bea Rue and Estelle stay strong Betty White!

  • I have no friends, no family, no partner, no children and I live on my own...but I'm never alone as long as I have The Golden Girls. You know what I mean don't you.

  • @StreathamG awh :/ .. I'll be your friend :)

  • @StreathamG why dont you have friends ? you sure ha ve some issues my friend,,,,

  • @StreathamG Oh yes, I know what you mean... A friend from Switzerland!

  • It was almost as though Dorothy was saying goodbye to the audience and to her friends that she grew closer with for the last 7 years. Dorothy was the 1st Golden Girl to have the 1st line in the series and last one as well which was rather poetic.

  • It was almost as though Dorothy was saying goodbye to the audience and to her friends that she grew closer with for the last 7 years.

  • Leslie nielsen!!!!

  • so sad

  • When she came back I was hoping for a happy ending :( Why so sad? D:

  • I think I actually cried when I saw this....funny thing is that I didnt watch it when I was little, I was a college students just watching the reruns. This really was a golden show. I loved ALL 4 of them.

  • that was a sad final scene, Dorothy saying goodbye to the people she loved for seven seasons.

  • Now you have a piece of the Girls

  • Oh Magnolia, Terrance I miss you one In Ohio and the other in Michigan

  • Oh Magnolia, Terrance I miss you one In Ohio and the other in Michigan

  • I remember watching the golden girls wen i was younger, and now i'm 27 and i still watch it, its so funny and they dont make shows like that anymore i dont think they ever cud it was truly one of a kind shame there is only one of them still living Betty white, but they ave made alot of people laugh, god bless xxxx

  • Obviously there's 6 retarded peole in the world who wouldn't know an amazing season finale if it hit them in their fucking face :') I LOVE THE GOLDEN GIRLS! :]

  • Omg! I'm actually crying!! I love those ladies so much!

  • If I ever make at least one amazing friend such as these lovely ladies...I would tell them everday "thank you for being a friend."

  • When Rose looks around in enthusiasm...made me laugh and broke my heart at the same time.

  • bea was my favorite golden girl.

  • no matter how hard i try i cant watch this without crying, betty, if you happen to be reading this. i really would love you to stay on this earth forever or untill i get to meet you, there is nothing in this world i want more than to see you in person, you are my favorite golden girl and golden girl is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE SHOW!!! • please, Betty. make it to your 90th birthday.

  • Just started my golden girls love about three years ago i'm only on the second season.

  • @abigailcope1 i'm 20 and I started at 12, getting up every morning at 8am to watch it on lifetime until noon. I'm in my college apartment now, and I still watch it, brings a little bit of home back.

  • @HeyItsMe1224 I'm 2 years older than you--I started watching it at 14 on Lifetime every morning during summer 2003. Good times. And I'm a guy and I find this show hilarious! Even though the episodes are syndicated/edited I would much rather see them back on Lifetime rather than Hallmark. And I could buy the dvds but I choose not to.

  • My goal in life was to meet the golden girls to late. But i can still meet Betty:(

  • I love Golden Girls. They can never make another show like this:(

  • I love Golden Girls. They can never make another show like this:(

  • I love Golden Girls

  • This made me sob like an infant. T____T

  • im a huge golden girls fan

  • This episode tears me up every time I watch it. I do the same thing when I see the finale of Three's Company.

  • I love The Golden Girls but sometimes I can´t watch the show because makes me so sad.

    Rest in peace girls.

  • so sad

  • =(

  • the dislike button shouldn't have even been available.....what's not to like?........best show ever!

  • @rockstarhighiq They were not acting. The cast really loved each other. The 6 people who disliked this just don't know anything about true friendship.

  • i never understood. when rose goes, is this goodbye and dororthy says yes...y does it have to be goodbye? i mean, they werent gonna visit ? wth.

  • @alaiiinalan during the episode Rose keeps wanting to say goodbye and Dorothy refuses to say it. So as Bea leaves Betty says, "is this goodbye?"

  • @alaiiinalan means its a good bye to the end of it......like a new beginning..things are changing

  • the 6 people who pressed the dislike button don't know flawless acting when they see it.

  • and Leslie Nelson too... RIP

  • im only gonna dislike it because, i do dislike it...LAST EPISODE ON LIKE THE BEST SHOW EVER MADE. D:

  • Whoever disliked this video needs to have their balls/vagina nailed to a wall while they are profusely bleeding out of their mouths and ears.

  • @BlackRanger2009 So you like people to agree with you all the time then? I seem to remember a fella born in Austria, a long time ago who had the same kind of atitude.....

  • @MickeyLove01: I'm not saying that I want everyone to agree with me. I already know that there are differentiating opinions. It's just that Golden Girls was one of the best TV shows of all time in my opinion.

  • @BlackRanger2009 no arguments here.

  • @buddytheoc: Right, right! :-)

  • RIP Leslie Neislen

  • well u know really- the golden palace followed after the golden girls. You know thats where Rose, Blanche, and Sophia all worked at the Golden Palace hotel. It was mentioned that, the girls had sold their house and bought the hotel. So maybe Rose moved back to St. Olaf?

  • Rose is the only one left at the house in Miami.

  • My mother just recently passed away on Thanksgiving. This was one if not her FAVORITE show. I remember staying up all night when I was younger and watching The Golden Girls with my mom. I wish I could have one more "Golden Girls All Nighter" with her. My mom reminded me so much of Sophia, she was always there for me. My mom loved me no matter what. Only being 14 and not having your mother isn't easy. I am going to dedicate an entire day to the Golden Girls just for my Mom.

    Mom, I love/miss you!

  • @jbdrt123 dude/girl me and my mom do the same thing, i thought we were the only ones that did that, and i feel sorry for you, when its my moms time, im gonna do the same with my kids... you should too

  • @ajbelztre20 No your not the only ones(:

And I am defiantly going to make sure I share the Golden Girls with my kids.

    P.S. Im a girl(:

  • @jbdrt123

I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know what I would have done if my mother had died while I was at such a young age.

  • @WildRoseTransformer Thank you. Trust me its hard..but I just tell myself that she is in a better place :)

    I love you Mom <3

  • @jbdrt123 They remind me of my grandma! :) I'm sorry for your loss...

  • @whtb760 Aww, I bet your grandma is amazing then(:

    And thank you.

  • @jbdrt123 Your mom is not 6 feet under pushing up the daisies.

  • @jbdrt123 Your mom is now 6 feet under pushing up the daisies. Worm food.

  • @MusicLover8048

Wow, that was mean for no reason. Feel good about yourself now, buddy.

  • @Yobachi2007 I do.

  • @MusicLover8048

Well hey, at least one person in the world feels good about you.

  • @Yobachi2007 You have to face it, Yoba. We all become worm food.

  • @MusicLover8048

You have to face it, your comment was misplaced in the context as it was meant to be a barb at a kid expressing a memory of a lost parent. Just because it's true doesn't mean there was any legitimate reason to say at that time, and you know it.

You also have to face an asshole everytime you look in the mirror.

  • @Yobachi2007 'You also have to face an asshole everytime you look in the mirror.'

Is this coming from experience. Assholes must run in your family.

  • @Yobachi2007 'You also have to face an asshole everytime you look in the mirror.'

Is this coming from experience? Assholes must run in your family. It's rare I get such wise advice.

  • @jbdrt123 Your mom is now 6 feet under pushing up the daisies. Worm food. Another one bites the dust.

  • @MusicLover8048 I can assure you that my mother is not worm food..

  • @jbdrt123 It's a figure of speech.
