  • Combat Sports > Silat? Please... Not to take away anything from the combatants who train daily to become great MMA fighters, but they have a referee to save them. Try putting in an armbar in a real fight. No sooner would you get bitten or smacked in the groin.

And in any case, people who learn Martial Arts do not have the luxury of dedicating their whole lives to become a fighting machine. They have other, more important priorities, like working and taking care of their families.

  • that's why Malay get to built the biggest civilization.their kingdom in history so so big.much bigger than china or Arab, then after the stupid british and japan come, everything's gone.nothing has left.im myself nver heard of 'malay'.I searchin the history bout it.it is suprising me.their archeological exist thousands of years all over the world. In history says ''they're the modest people the kind and the brilliant'.after years searchin and experimentin now im sure that 'Malay is the Lost Tribe'

  • This is nothing but bastardized Kung Fu of China. Anyway both Malaysia and China has nothing to offer in combat sports. Both countries has never proven anything in boxing, K-1 or any combat sports. No need to learn this B.S. art from a nation of pussies.

  • @101ers77 there is a diference betwen u fight for a prize and fight for your life both them never proven in combat sports becouse they are styles for self defense with mortal techiniques not to get points only, think about that!

  • @101ers77 t

  • @101ers77 sound like u prefer ass hole than pussies heheh

  • @varkkha Thanks for admitting you're a nation of pussies. That is coming straight from a Malaysian's mouth. Lol!

  • the funniest shit iv ever seen!

  • silat is indonesia martial art

  • @wirosebrang noo..

  • @wirosebrang malaysia also....

  • i like it

  • Among all the martial arts over the world, i think SILAT is much more delicate, soft relevant and more natural to human way of fighting.

  • I like martial art including silat. where it come from its not main problem. I hope any silat association can invite all martial art malaysia (such as karate, taekwando, and kick-boxing)in one tournoment.

  • I LIKE THAT OMG IT'S UNBELIEVABLE LIVE SILAT AND LIVE ISLAM

  • Korean claim KARATE as their original Martial Arts.. Japanese will absolutely angry

Venezuela claim that CAPOEIRA from them.. Brazilian will absolutely angry

That's why we people of Indonesia angry when Malaysia claim these as their culture:

    BATIK from East Java

    AGKLUNG from West Java

    REOG MASK from East Java

    SILAT from Indonesia

PENDET DANCE from BAli (THE RIDICULOUS THING IN THIS CASE THAT MALAYSIA GOVERMENT RECORD THE TOURISM VIDEO IN BALI - INDONESIA)

    & many more..

  • @sherinamunafik bodoh

  • @sherinamunafik you don't know your own roots do you?malay culture belongs to malays regardless where we are in this world ,you can't claim it as yours only...make your own research about nusantara and kepulauan melayu... on how the colonialist separate it to make them rich out of nusantara... long before indonesia and malaysia were formed...one more thing...we never claimed tarian pendet as ours...

  • @sherinamunafik the issues about tarian pendet was a mistake made by discovery channel...they even apologized about it...

  • @sherinamunafik wahaha indonesia claim our martial art

  • hey kersani mengalirlah dikau.. <--- mantera betul ni.. hehe

  • Like a copycat from Kung Fu, Karate, Taekwondo and Muay Thai, etc. That is Silat.

  • @Skillking22

IT's NOT copycat ! Just watch the HUMAN WEAPON episode, how beautiful SILAT is. Unlike Kung Fu and others, does'nt even relevant to the natural way of human behaviour.Full of action and gimmick!

  • @Rosyanti4

Saying that Kung Fu and others are not relevant to the natural way of human behaviour because it is full of action and gimmick is just confessing that Silat is not relevant to it either because Silat is full of slow-mo, dancing moves which are not practical to combat at all. Yup of course Silat is beautiful. It's beauty lies in its many elegant combat moves which was clearly copied from the Indian, Chinese, Japanese martial arts for centuries.

  • @Skillking22 maybe you can try your kungfu or whatever skill with silat..please visit our gelanggang anywhere in msia..

  • silat is ok but i have to say eskrima is better
