  • id also like to add..yes the ak is not really meant for than maybe 50 yrds but at a 110yrds i got a bullseye everytime the more time you spend with your weapon the more you learn i would rather have my wasr when doing house clearing in iraq or afganistan

  • my wasr is just as good if not better than my m4 well my wasr has more knock down power sometimes it depends on how good you can fine tune your weapon

  • XxILoveMyAK47xX =CRAP

  • WASR = Crap

  • @XxILoveMyAK47xX It really depends on what you get.

  • The problem with the AK design is that it hammers the whole rifle so badly under fire that it ain't much good for hittin' anything smaller than a pieplate at 50 yards. AKs are pure combat weapons-- they are designed to engage an enemy at close range. ARs are designed to hit the target out to 250 yards. The AK was designed in an era when the number of bullets thrown at the target was thought to be the deciding factor, not the accuracy of the rounds fired. Things have since changed...

  • hmm......what do you think is more important, a rifle with great accuracy but fragile to ammo, weather, dust ect. thus needing more cleaning, or a rifle which you can bury in the sand pick it up and still shoot, but lacks in the accuracy dept......i personal believe the shooter decides how accurate a weapon is but thats just me........so what's your opion on the matter?

  • Both rifles have their fine points. The AK was designed for fielding with minimal training of the operator who maybe could not even read, let alone become a practiced shot. The design philosophy works well and can only improve the effectiveness of the weapon with an operator of increased skill. The AR was designed for use by men who were thoroughly trained before it was issued to them. The AK is a "run and shoot" gun; the AR is for aimed shots. I own several of each, so I'm biased toward both.

  • im with you on that, im bias myself....i really dig the ak but the ar is one of the prettiest weapons on the planet. i have to say the wasr 3 in 5.56 is just as accurate as my bushmast m4a3 x-15

  • Why such a long range scope on a WASR?

    Just asking.

  • because i dont have enough money yet for a red dot?

  • You can use a long range scope at close range, just gotta know where its going to hit and adjust the zoom. I have a 3-9x40mm on mine.
