ive had mine for a year now, dropped it on cement floor so a piece of it flew away, had it in rain so wet the speaker stopped working properly for a moment, ha it invery cold weather and so on....and still works like new....super phone best ive ever had!!!

N82 for sure.

The N78's feature pack is actually inferior in most every way. A bit less RAM(96mb instead of 128 on the N82), an even worse keyboard/button layout, inferior camera, etc.

The only real feature the N78 has over the 82 is a much better GPS signal lock and battery life.

I just go by experience and will freely admit if my phone is shit, i always bought nokia but recently i have had five Sony Ericsson phones and every single one of them has failed or broken within its first 6-9 months, yes this meant that they were still under warranty, i got replacements, but its the principle, it just shouldnt happen. Seriously Considering the N82, cannot be arsed carrying a phone AND a camera on nights out, maybe this will be the answer.

Five SE's that fails or break within 6-9 months! IF it's true what you say and you're not just a Nokia fan trying to give SE a bad name. I have the G900 and in the past I had 3 phones of SE (K810i, W880i and P1i) and I've never used phones with more build quality and user friendliness. SE's don't freeze like Nokia's. I don't know what it is with Nokia and me, but it's never a good match. I've had N82 and it kept freezing when opening the Gallery, my friends have it too with other Nokias

Oh dont get me wrong, SE certainly do have very goo user interfaces and are usually laden with a lot more features than the competition for the money you, but i stand by what i say about teh build quality lately, i am not alone. The five SE's have all been the same slider type phones and its just the keypad, they keys crack, stop working and sometimes fall off! However, ive decided to wait until october to see what the new SE C905 with and 8MP camera and xenon flash will be like...

Phone is great. Two downsides in my opinion: #1. of course, the keypad takes some getting used to, and #2. symbian OS is terrible ergonomically compared to SE phone OS. I mean, I can go into my contacts, phone someone.. then go to the dashboard and apparently I've left contacts running in the background. What is the point!? Let music player run in the background, and games in case of interuption, but don't let EVERY app run in the background Nokia! Also, the dashboard is pretty terrible too!

I hate the way mobiles have become so fiddly, with the tiny joystick in the middle to move left/right/down/up and to confilm something - it annoying to me. I miss the days of the simple up/down buttons. With buttons getting smaller on some models, it just makes it more difficult to get used to.

Big buttons are better and easier to see, not to mention not just young people use mobile phones, and would like to use them without the need to wear glasses.

I have a theory. Apple thrives on innovation, bringing out new model after new model of Mac and iPod and now iPhone. If they put all those things on the phone that are missing, they wouldn't be able to bring out the iPhone 2nd Generation in 6 months time. Early adopters know what they are letting themselves in for, and that what they have will be out of date before long, but it's great to have the latest technology first.
