I really hope the girls at my mac counter sanitize the lipstick the last time I was at mac there were two girls just going crazy and putting all the lipsticks on straight from the tube!!!!! yuk I could not beleive my eyes the poor girls that work there were so overwhelmed and really had their hands full, how do you know if the person has a crazy lip infection! Im sure that it could go deep into the product

Hey Camile. I hope I spelled you name right. I so love these series of videos, because i'm a Register Nurse who does make-up part time and i'm such a germaphobe. People have no idea the nasty eye and mouth infection they can get by sharing make up. I know because i've seen it. However, your series is awesome and these are fantastic tips! Keep up the good work.

and they told us all this

they also told us how make up counters can carry so many germs.. lots of people dont actually use the sample things the store gives them at the counter... some people use the actual lip sticks or shoves there finger in the lipgloss container...

ugh i hate that...

@twilightroxx222 If you're a professional you shouldn't be using the same makeup on your own face as you use on your clients unless you are willing to follow the sanitation procedures. That kind of cross contamination should never occur if you're being responsible. If you can't help yourself you should have two sets, one for clients and one for yourself.

i was just saying that this is a stupid way to clean it cause thats the same wand that you put on your own lips , so you shouldn't be giving those germs to the other person

Lol, I don't think you get it. She wouldn't use that wand on her own lips. She would only use it on clients after following the sanitation procedure that she showed in the video. The wand in the makeup never actually touches anybody's lips, hers or a clients. That's the whole point of the sanitation process. See?

Thank you so much! The reason for scraping is so you get more product! Its hard to get enough product ( lipgloss or lipstick) on a brush most of the time you will end up scraping, so you would have to double dip your lip brush. Now if your at a MakeUp Counter & they have disposable Lip brushes you can plunge it into a tube of Lipgloss and you will probably get enough if not grab another lol
