Hey ok it seemed to be a youtube issue. I only had once a 100% Viognier, but it taste so bad to me that it had a lasting effect. I think it was from California, color was similar to the golden one of your tasting. It tasted like a mix of a bad, old medium sherry with a little cream and bad whiskey.

no experience at all but then whites are something that I get a few times a year to expand my tastes. It is funny I hear some people talk about "working down into the cabs" where for me I started with the dry reds and loved it. My first bottle of wine was a super dry red someone grabbed from their dads cellar to look sophisticated and no one but me liked it so they all drank keystone while I had a religious experience. I am finding that I have to "work into whites"

I love the dry old world style wines also and I had a similar situation with whites. I never liked them until one evening i was at a party and when i got the photos back my teeth were sooo red and nasty. It made me switch to white and also once you are introduced to the right one, you will love it. Start drinking whites and eating it with cheese, this will help create an appreciation for them. Also if you can find anything that is non-negociant, old world style french, this will work.

the only one i had was a 'Herzog' - New Zealand.. it was apricoty and delish :)
