That was great! It was so sweet and the clips you used were just right. :)
I had Gypsy playing in another window..because I thought it would be good for Esmeralda.
Took me a while to figure out the live action clips were from another Hunchback of Notre Dame version...that was from 1939 then? It was nice how you used the animated and live action together.
I don't have the original, complete video on my computer, for some reason. Youtube made me audioswap this vid - my plan is to download it again from youtube, and re-up with the original song again. : )
I love this video so much! The song, the scenes you edited, all fit so perfectly. And i love the ending of your vid too, so much more reminiscent of the true ending of THOND.
I hope you can see how I tried to make the narrative work in this... making her become suppressed and emotionally broken, but then building back up again. Also, by the way, I was trying to make it seem like Frollo was remembering Quasimodo's mother through Es.
Wow, I really like this. It is different, but I just happen to adore the Disney version, and Fleetwood Mac has always been a favorite for me. I have never seen all of the 1939 version. But I think the video had a great flow and your use of both versions was smooth.
(Sorry for the second comment, but my keyboard is being difficult) Anywhoo, I loved the video. I liked the audio inserts too. So it gets a 5/5 from me. ^_^
I like Quasimodo he the purest guy I ever seen

I actually like lining this up and playing Gypsy along with it on my iTunes. And it's my favorite video of all time!

My mom use to listen to Fleetwood Mac around the time this movie came out and this song always has reminded me of Hunchback of Notre Dame.

It's fine. :3 I only saw the 1939 recently because it was on the television.
Thanks for rating it so highly.

WOW! That was really amazing! It's awesome that you used both films, they're both such great films.

Agreed!
Although, the Disney version is more like a remake of the 1939 one than the book itself; they're just so similar while the book is pretty different.
Mysterioux 3 years ago
That's true. (even though I'm kind of partial to the Disney version since it's a little happier...) I still haven't finished the book though....
HyacinthShade 3 years ago
It is in a way- I actually view the Disney version as an improvement on the 1939, really nothing wrong with it being so similar.
I dislike the weird Gringoire/Pheobus mess up of characters, though. But I guess it would've been a bit much for a Disney.
Mysterioux 3 years ago
Yeah, but I guess it was all they could do, otherwise it might have been too confusing....(for younger people anyway)

my favorite part of this is perhaps the 3rd verse and how it was just so sweet :D
I love how you got those lil speech clips when there was no singing ^^
ooh and 'she was just a wish' was really good the way you put the scenes to fit it in...
*huggles* WELCOME BACK ^0^

I. Love. This.
Different, yes. But fabulous. :D Your editing style has greatly improved. I love the incorporation of both films and the song really does fit well.
Fan-freakin'-tastic. :3

BAHAHA...
I mean.
Oh dear, that shouldn't make me laugh. xD
Quasimodo says: "It wasn't her. If you want to know who it was, it was me."
As in, stabbing Pheobus. This isn't clear at all... just make of it what you can.
