When I was a child watching this, Alexandra fascinated and scared me. She was the first truly agressive female on TV. In retrospect she's a great character. In a sea of goody two-shoes characters she had some real dimension.
I always loved this song, from the first time I heard it. I always thought Alexandra got a bad deal. She was always my favorite character. Why did she want dull Alan, anyway? (OK, I know.)
I gotta say, Alexandra may be a beeotch, but I can't think of anyone I'd want on my side more when I'm being chased by evil scientists and gorillas. She is slick! :-) )
@jonthom11702 True. When the chips are down, she always comes through. On The Mastermind episode, she uses the anti-gravity device to levitate the debris to the top of the lake, causing him to crash, which bought the group time. And she and Valerie let the bus banner go, which blinded The Shadow. I believe that deep down inside, she really is a good person.
A follow-up comment: If I'm not mistaken, this is the only episode where Alexandria didn't have something to happen to her in the end. It was a bald Alex that would have to wait until his hair grew back.
I'm so ticked they didn't release this one on the CD. I love this song, but I would love it even more if I could find it without the sound effects in the background, 'cause they kind of drown out the singing at times.
4 People had their evil schemes foiled by Josie and the Pussycats.

This is an intresting fact-because this JOSIE episode,in hommage to "PLANET OF
THE APES",had an intresting coinsidence, because in 1975 when NBC had reruned
JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS,after originating on CBS in 1970,it also aired the
Saturday Morning cartoon series "RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE APES" that
DePatie-Freleng and 20th Century Fox Television produced-an amazing touch of
irony!!

At 0:46, Sebastian should've turned into Scooby Doo, Astro or any other dog Hanna Barbera had copyrighted at the time as a joke :)

@mr3t2l1l I know that he didn't turn into Scooby Doo, but you did hear Scooby's voice when he looked in the mirror and saw himself as a dog.

It sounds like Cheryl Ladd singing the lead on this one. One of my favorites, too.

It's a shame this song wasn't on Rhino's Josie and The Pussycats CD compilation.
