The Japanese economy did not grow from stolen treasures, the Japanese economy was up until 1990 a miracle economy and an inspiration to the four tiger economies that followed. I don't know if it's jealousy from the fact that an isolated island nation can succeed better than so called civilized nations across the sea but I think maybe the argument should be whether Japan's neighbors copied its economic model and not whether its economic growth was honest.

No over 200,000 artifacts is stolen if you add NK artifacts too. Most are owned by individuals and very few are displayed in meseums to hide this part of history.
