This is such a great movie. I loved it because it seemed unclear what the point of the movie is, until you realize it's the story of a woman's transformation from insecure, desperate bar hopper to a woman appreciative of friendship and family ties. All the actors did a tremendous job. "Can we go to Ollie's now?" hahaha, so sad :( The scene when she's dancing alone at the bar is almost heartbreaking.
Uma Thurman's character is such a Dumb Bitch, hahaha. Shes so Stupid and didn't realize the guy didn't want her but her friend "Is that your friend there"

@gfscarface13 The guy didn't have to bring her to his house either. Why do that if he didn't have any interest? It made her think he wanted her even more. He is a loser that is why he was single to begin with. A real guy would just politely say sorry I'm not interested, and move on then he wouldn't have to worry about the woman bothering him to the point he lost his temper. He made the situation worse by giving her attention.

"A real guy"? well he stood her up on their dinner plan so he probaly though that would tell her that he's not interested in her but she kept bugging him at the bar afterwards asking him why.
Its her fault too for not seeing the whole picture.
Good movie though. One of the Only chick films I like.

I love this movie. It's one of my favs. It is actually very realistic in conveying how absolutely depressing the bar scene is when it comes to meeting a man (or woman for that matter), and how we often give in so easily just for that feeling of being wanted by someone.
amen...just this scene is brilliant from start to finish...the pain is palpable and both actresses are brilliant...I'd have never thought Thurman could pull something like this off, she hits perfect pitch.
Own it, was lucky enough to find it at a Pawn Shop about 4 years ago.
