Bravo, especially for someone so young. I've heard far worse recordings, so hats off to you. I love this slightly abridged arrangement too; it makes for an excellent encore without cheating the piece too much. If you ever record it though, I'd love to hear you play it in its entirety.
sorry to burst your bubble, but she already is a great violinist. mature vibrato and technique. harmonics are hard and double stopped as well. she can already record this, there are much worse recordings.plus i like the way she plays, very musical, to make this sound interesting is difficult by itself.
Si, S'est pas de chance mais know day's well think only about intonation and technique. For me more important musique et tempo. She play good but like lady...
I first got my Musicians Union card 63 years ago. I have taught violin, viola and cello. i have played all the major concertos. Yes, I do know what a cadenza is. I have even written a couple of them. MY POINt ..I played this piece for a friend of mine who is NOT a nysucuab, U exokained to him how she was doing all thos things with her left hand. I wasn't impressed. He just said, "why didn't they get two violinist to do it." But, I believe she is a very, very good violinist.
This was a nice cadenza but wherre was the piece? Obviously she is a very fine player even at such a young age. I would rather hear her make music rather than fireworks.
I love this girl. I must say she plays Niccolo Paganini's "Nel cor piu non mi sento" better than her Russian predecessor Leonid Kogan. I rate her one of the top five female violin virtuosos of our time. Thank you so much for letting me hear such fine celestial music.
I enjoy the piece Molinara so much... You are incredible violinist and artist, very carismatic, well dress and that beautiful smile (those) make you really special.
Great performance!!! The only one that is greater than this one is the performance of the same piece by Natalia Korsak on mandolin. You really have to see this! Incredible!!!
Just incredible!! I wish I could play like this. There are some young talents who has technique like this but she has more. The passions, phrasings, tone color...A born Violinist
Very well... VERY WELL!!! Really incredible... Kogan have a record of this Nel Cor Piu non mi sento very well! But my favorite is the interpretation of Vasa Prihoda... Fantastic...
Magnificently passionate and powerful. Beautiful accurate pitch/intonation in the most difficult spots. I would love to hear her on a better recording. The sound of this YouTube video makes her tone/sound less than the best it could. She is a great musician and violinist.
Fantastic stage !! your technique is already perfect :)
I want you to upload some romantic pieces like Mendelssohn or Sibelius coz the pieces which u've already uploaded are mainly technical ones. So I would like to listen to ur playing of melodious pieces. Please :)
Dear Alexandra, I remember your concerts in Bratislava, where you played Beethoven, and Paganini concertos ;-) I wish you all the best, and I am really looking forward to your next concerts here ;-))
Amazing!!!! Am i being a bit silly, I thought those were the 'nel cor' variations? with some bits missed out, but anyway thanks for uploading, cant wait to hear more ysaye from you. 5 stars!
Bravo!!!!!!

It's an encore piece, not a cadenza. Also, there are many other videos in which she plays, so you might as well watch those.

It sure is, what's Molinara?
ItzhakRoxMySox 4 years ago
well this is a variation of nel corpiu non me sento (or something like that :S), and that song is part of a opera called molinara
moonkasnow 4 years ago
Nel cor piu non mi sento is the name of the aria from the opera, La Molinara by Paisiello. Paganini just wrote variations on the aria.
