I am lucky to own his grandson, we are sooo proud of him, he is currently doing wonderful in training, You gotta love Freisians!!!!!!!!! We come from Quarter horse country, so we love to spice things up
I am the proud owner of one of his fillies. She took second premie as a foal and is an amazing horse. Shes two years old and unbroken but will still allow my 7 year old neice to ride her!
In my opinion, you are very lucky to have a Wander mare. Not only are his babies sweet and willing, they also have some of the more desired and rare bloodlines in the Friesian breed. So if you have a Wander mare you may one day breed, your choice of stallions is greatly enhanced. I have two Wander girls and am hoping to breed for another next year.
I see a few of you mentioned how lovely his fillies are. I have noticed that with Thoroughbreds some sirs throw better fillies then colts. Perhaps he is one of those types of sires that produce better fillies then colts. If knew I had a horse that threw better one way then the other I would use a dam that would equal it out.
I am proud to own one of his daughters... She is a yearling and took First Premie Grand Champion as a foal. She has the sweetest temperment of any horse I have ever owned!! We love you Wander!!!!!
Yes, my two Wander daughters are the ones in the video responses. One made 1st premie ster and the other was 1st premie, grand champion at her keuring last year. And I agree with you - Wander can really tun out some with golden temperaments. My two really love people and will try very very hard to do anything you ask. The friesian world is lucky to have Wander. I have a feeling one day he will be famous for his daughters.
I have two of his daughters. These two come from quite different damlines, and my two girls are very different from each other in every way *except* temperament. Both sweet as they come. Trusting, hard working, great connection with humans. I gotta believe their daddy has something to do with that.
Wow- you would have to be soo fit, practically an athlete, to be able to keep up with that HUGE trot. No wonder the handlers had to keep swapping over. I think they did handled him really well. Although, I was disappointed when I saw they were flicking him on the nose with the leadrope- totally unneccessary.
Wow, GORGEOUS! That's the longest mane i've ever seen on a horse, and the tail is pretty too... I agree with Trabe 65 in that he is a great example of a fresian, and was well-handled.
I am honored to have one of his fillies. She is now 5, and has his wonderufl movements, personality, and beauty! What a joy to watch her move!
