  • Would look nice sitting next to my 73 Cuda and my 2010 Challenger R/T! I'm in all the way IF they actually do it!

  • The new Chargers arn't bad.

  • Wow if they were to really make this car, I wouldn't mind owning one. It's probably the best concept car I've seen that's supposed to represent a muscle car, especially the Cuda, my all-time favorite muscle car! Mopar 4 Life!

  • but why does it look like a challenger from the sides and also why does it have the chargers dash board!?!?!?

  • @DIRTPUNKZ86 The Challenger and Cuda were both the E-body style back in the day. The Challenger is a little longer and the body lines are different. Just like in the video, the Cuda has a straight body line down the side of the car, the Challengers body line swoops up just ahead of the rear tires. There are slight differences in the old cars, and they made those same slight differences in the new ones. They did it to perfection if you really look at the details.

  • The classics will never be beat, but I do like this. Aside from those fucking rims. I hate how all new cars have such low profile tires and big rims. It is not practical, and in my opinion looks like shit. What happened to the days when muscle cars weren't just glorified tuners? A true muscle car has drag tires and a big engine. Not drift tires and fugly rims.

  • thats more exciting than the challenger, though similar. does anyone know where the video is of this car being driven around in a parking lot. saw it last year but cant find it now?

  • it would look a lot cooler if they modeled the front after the 1971 'Cuda. I mean they did model the back out of the '71

  • the convertible is crap, but otherwise it's not bad. come on guys! it can't replace the original, but for a modern cuda it ain't too bad! I'd fucking take it! I just love american muscle. and I'm from fucking switzerland, where they wanna get rid of such cars. fucking green nerds! as soon as I have enough money: fuck yeah I'm gonna get myself a muscle car from the good old USA!

  • Reminds me WAY too much of a mustang...

  • They sold one of these on barret-jackson

  • dude, all these zoom in effects are shit, man. we want to see the whole car, not just a piece of it

  • everyone needs to be a little more open minded and quit living in the past this isnt the 60s 70s anymore

  • i would take the new models for the way advanced performance

  • even though the 70's cudas look better this one still looks badass

  • Looks ok, just too wide and it needs the original Cuda exhaust, rear, and rims

  • those are just challengers that some guys turned into cudas using a mustang brakelight bar panel i cant believe that people think this is the new cuda

  • It must be pretty damn hard to make the rear end look good. But I've definetly seen worse looking ones. As far as a functional shaker... Hell yeah.

  • Damn all these haters....car makers cant legally make car like back in the 60's and 70's so GET THE FUCK OVER IT i mean DAMN at least there trying to make muscle cars they could just say fuck it and just give us all electric junk

  • mopar is always mopar then and now you cry babies

  • is it still a plymoth?

  • @Bullitx357 u do realize back in the day the cuda 70-74 was a Plymouth rebadge if the challenger, essentially. They just changed the front sheet metal(fenders an grille, perhaps a hood) and the tail panel was different. But from the windshield to the trunk, they are identical. I would agree that it wouldn't sell under any name other than Plymouth since who wants a Chrysler Cuda? Not I. Still, wud b pretty sweet If they brout Plymouth back from the dead

  • @EAGL30NE Wait a minute get your history right... the Barracuda was around for a lot longer than the challenger and if the update to the cuda came at the same time the challanger came out I still wouldn't call it a rebadged challenger.. The Challenger was a rebadged Cuda.

  • @EAGL30NE You are partially correct, the body lines down the side of the car are completely different, the hood on a challenger goes all the way to the nose, Cudas don't. The rear quarters also "flare" out on a challenger.

  • front end looks great but rear end looks to much like a mustang!!!!

  • I like it !!!

  • Not gonna happen plymouth is out of business plus it resembles the challenger to much mopar wouldnt make a car to rival it b/c it is selling to good no need to mess it up

  • I gotta say I like this allot more than the charger right now

  • they disgraced the charger way back in the 80`s with those 2.2 litre 4 cylinder chargers

  • at least it looks kinda like a muscle car

  • i would take it

  • This is one cool effort. I would like to have seen the '71 grille. Tail section is awesome.

  • If only chrysler had the actual funds to bring back plymouth, that would be sweet

  • This is a custom made Car, derived from the Charger Frame. it came out before the Challenger did. Chrysler had nothing to do with this AT ALL!!!

  • WTF they have disgraced the Charger, the Challenger, and now the Barracuda! fags

  • @MrCarFreak98 OK I see how they disgraced the Charger, they just made a mean- looking sedan and slapped the Charger logo on it, but I don't see what you mean by the Challenger. The Challenger was based completely off of the older Challenger, just with modern touches. Nothing is going to look the same as it did back in the muscle car era.

  • i wouldnt mind this compared to the new charger that suck al types of ass!?!

  • I'd buy it

  • i want a 71 cuda and a 67 gto

  • *and make it look leaner like the older ones

  • It's ok, but it's too chunky. The older models were angled towards the bottom somewhat boat like in manner; if a more angled body is made, I think it would elicit a much better response from the general public.

  • First question:Does ANYONE know how to spell anymore? Second question: Does anyone pay enough attention to know that Chrysler is mostly owned by Fiat now? (hence the Italian insignia in the center of the steering wheel) Third question: Has any of you "GO AMERICAN CARS" people ever wonder why most fasteners on your American car are metric? hmmm, think a little

  • @fisheye300 you need to clean the cum out of ur eyes and see how sexy this car is

  • its just a modded challenger but they were close in remblence, and it does look like a cuda, front and rear but the side needs to be slightly different, to much like the challenger.

  • Comment removed

  • The original 1970 hemi cuda puts this chubby pile of junk to shame

  • @fisheye300 just like the original '69 charger puts dodge's new 4 door sedan they call a charger to shame as well

  • @MovieMakerKeith except for the police version. that is epically awesome

  • @fisheye300 they are trying to honor the classic car, u cant blame them, what are they going to do. make 1970 cudas exactly the same ? that would be the real dishonor.

  • @fisheye300 The Cuda Concept was scrapped when the challenger concept was built. The 2 only cuda concepts were sold at Barret Jackson's auction in 08.

  • @fisheye300 Well I think in today's world it does look kind of good. Less massive than Challenger. They should make it a full foot shorter than Chall and lighter. keep the 392 at 475HP a 6 speed manual, and a rag top version. Compare to any Jap crap it looks awsome.

  • @fisheye300 its a moded dodge challenger

  • @fisheye300 I hate to say it...but I must agree

  • @fisheye300 I think it's freaking sharp looking

  • This is what classic american muscle guys, like myself, would call "junk on wheels"

  • @K3nnyLaGrange Well if this is junk on wheels, then just figure out a way to time travel to the 70's and buy a "real" muscle car. This is 2010. This is what you get.

  • @sideburns2009 lol, i practically did time travel, well, my dad did anyways. He inherited a 69 camaro whom his dad bought brand new.

  • if they were to bring this car back..the shaker would definitely need to be a key toll to keep. That and the original paint/graphic scheme

  • this is one of the new concept musclecar designs that are worth putting into production

  • bring back the cuda..so we can all shit in our pants.

  • AMERICAN MUSCLE WILL REBORN !!!

  • that's a modified Challenger. but I actually LIKE it. With a little more refining and a beefed up new HEMI engine as standard, Chrysler can take in a lot of mullah and make a lot of MOPAR fans happy at the same time.

  • it is a modified challenger yes but thats what the trans am is its a camaro body

  • The need to bring back the Cuda!!!!!!

  • this would be awesome but you can tell its a modified challenger

  • i expect they don't make it too cartoony like charger

  • lol what i would want is the REAL charger to be back not the 4 door sadean shit

  • I love this car even more then the challengers. Like the front and rear end of it, plus a shaker hood scoop to top it. My new dream car!!!!

  • does cars are so sick it makes you want to punch mama right in the face!!!

  • if this goes into production, ill be first in line lol

  • im sold if they make this car in production!!!

too bad it will probably never happen ;(

  • thats fuckin sick as hell....

  • what is the point of this car it looks just like the challenger ??

  • I love the "retro muscle" direction I see in the challenger and mustang the only thing that they seem to miss is on the interior. The outside says musclecar but the inside screams sedan to me. All I really want is 2 bucket seats a bench in the back and a stick coming out of the floor, and preferrably attatched to a manual tranny not that autostick nonsense.

  • Please Chrysler bring back the RoadRunner and the Hemi 'Cuda as a 71 style not the 70 with an oriiginal Hurst pistol grip to match the car's. I promise you will sell more 'Cuda's than Challengers and Chargers put together.

  • Just dont make the Interior plastic

  • finally we ae showing the rest of the world that Amercian Muscle is back baby move stupid looking european car make way for what you been waiting for the next generation that will American Muscle better

  • @CHACH208 You didn't happen to notice the Italian insignia in the center of the wheel? Don't forget that Chrysler is mostly owned by Fiat now... gooo america

  • I'm gonna be honest i dont care for this...or the new challenger...at all. I mean if your going to re-release a car CHANGE IT!! they look damn near identicle except, obviously, wheels and interior... show some imagination dodge!

  • @burkenberry i understand what you mean but thats the whole point... just my opinion too but, i think the new camaro is too NOT like the old one... sure its similar but i think dodge and for d did a far better job.... again just my opinion

  • @burkenberry Dont fix what aint broken

  • @burkenberry DO you know what happens when dodge shows some imagination they come up with the piece of crap charger. This cuda looks awesome. who cares if it looks the same as the old ones, the old ones were the best!

  • @burkenberry

shut up its a lot nicer then those other peices of shit toyotas on honda civics on the road.

  • i like it! except in black on black obviously. those tips are to die for!

  • Love it, but i hate that wack interior! they all look the same(charger, challenger, chrysler). IMO, they should make the inside look vintage as well and add some more chrome to the exterior like the original! No matter what they do, i'll always rather have the 71!

  • thats a cool car i like that they kept the old body stile not like the chargers that looks like a soccer moms car

  • way better looking than the shitty looking charger concept charger should be way longer than it is and slender

  • u think i didn't know that?.of course i did know that.anyways.laters

  • Restyled Challenger? They did a nice job but should really start from scratch but thats too expensive for them!

  • GM does not make the barracuda smart one

  • It's MOPAR YOU IDIOT! (Dodge to be precise)

  • You unintelligent individual! (Plymouth to be precise) PS if you're going to open your mouth, and try to insult someone else, please know what you're talking about before you speak through your fingers. Nice try dummy!

  • omg u must not know anything about chevys buddy....

  • WOOW !!!

it looks nearly identically to the 70´s HEMI CUDA !

BRING BACK PLYMOUTH AND BUILD THIS HEMI LEGEND !

  • @HEMIH3AD wait i have a question wasent plymouth the same as crystler or they just changed the name i am confused plz tell me

  • Plymouth was one of Chrysler´s companies which has been closed in 2001 cause they were not able to sell enough cars as far as I know

I´ve also heared they want to bring back Plymouth (BBP) for some new concepts (HEMI Cuda and RoadRunner) but Im not quite sure if Chrysler is even able to do this

however - I could imagine they will bring back the HEMI Cuda and the RoadRunner as Chryslers

    Chrysler HEMI ´Cuda

    Chrysler RoadRunner

that could be possible at all

  • @HEMIH3AD pontiac closed their doors but thanks to all the diehard pontiac guys the trans am was brot back to life mopar fans may just be able to do the same

  • nice they should build it.

  • I like this a lot better than the new Challengers. It looks far less fat than the new Challenger. Rather than putting the sleek little old car grille onto a bloated new car, they scale up the grille to make the car look more dimensionally similar to the original. Serious win.

  • what is song ?

  • @xFafi90x "RockMain" by Kevin Macleod. Free music I can give u a link if you want to download the song

  • @MovieMakerKeith Does this mean that Chrysler is resurrecting Plymouth?

  • @Brubuck10 highly doubt it, as many say it could just be a modified challenger but the idea of the 'cuda being ressurected, as well as plymouth would be cool for sure

  • @MovieMakerKeith Ya as I saw on the steering wheel though, the symbol was not dodge. It WAS Plymouth! I would LOVE if they brought it back. Dream come true.

  • its a mached up challenger hemi cuda my ass

  • fiberglass

  • id buy one if plymouth made it

  • It's just like the old one but chunkier! Epic

  • This is the BBP 'Cuda Concept car. BBP stands for Bring Back Plymouth

  • Damn! When I saw first picture i thought that its the old 'Cuda! :D Really nice! :))

  • I thought the 'Cuda was a Plymouth? There's no Plymouth = there's not supposed to be a 'Cuda. I'm a Mopar guy, but let the past go. If you want a Barracuda, get an original, not some aging baby boomer inspired impostor. This things like the new Charger: the European owners screwed it up (4 doors!~Bo & Luke Duke didn't need 4 doors!). Nice concept car this 'Cuda but doesn't have the spirit of the original. It's all about the bottom line and ChryCo is playing on peoples romance of the past. Sad...

  • out of all the new re-make models this is buy far the best

  • I'd rather have the '71 hemi cuda!!

  • =( if only

  • no fucking way! I just finished a rough drawing of a cuda concept and it looks alot like this one, haven't gone in detail in the front fascia yet though, and just made the original bumper a little larger and the body flows under like the original as well but a little more smooth. and the fender section in front of the wheel well is too short....LOL can't wait until I get a movie maker so I can show everyone, blows my mind! and no, it is not better than this ofcourse, I am doing a convertible xD

  • they need to make that a production car

  • nice shape on body .. grill sucks !! .. reminds of the old australian holden !! .. needs sharktooth grille & that piggy will go to market !!

  • The ONLY thing I absolutely HATE about them is the fact that the interiors are like Chrysler took a huge interior cookie cutter and made the insides of the Charger, Challenger, 300, and Magnum. On the SRT cars, they should have put a sweet 3 spoke steering wheel or something race oriented on it to change the look.

  • i would love to see plymouth come back! along with the roadrunner. HAIL MOPAR!!

  • Yeah what if the did Reserect the Cuda'.....

Plymouth has be dead along time.

and it would fuckin piss me off to see a classic Cuda' go under a Dodge or Chrysler name plate!

i think they should bring back plymouth

just for this car, just as a final goodbye. now thats what i would call going out with a Bang!

  • Comment removed

  • doesnt matter what they do the old one rules

  • close but still not the classic , the tail light , the body's kind of larger , but still if its the closest thing its good

  • i think it might be just a 2ndGen cuda....

ive seen cameros that looked like a concept car but were just 2nd Gen.....

but i like the way this cuda looks, Concept or not... they got it right.....

  • what is a 2nd gen , can you explain , sorry i just wanted to understand

  • it looks just like a 70 cuda. body lines and all. but check out Mr. Norms 71 version it looks so much better

  • Obviously based on the new Challenger...

  • So was the old 'Cuda....

  • Obviously you're wrong because both of those cars were based off of the charger. To go even further, the orange one is a custom one off body made by the same people who designed the challenger, at about the same time they designed the challenger.. So no, not so obviously based on the new challenger.

  • Obviously YOUR wrong simply because I work at a Dodge dealer and I asked about it and it IS based on the new Challenger. The Charger is a 4 door car..not 2.

  • Haha alright man, cuz the dealerships know everything. Why would the dealership know about a car that was never produced? You really are arguing with the wrong person here I've been a huge part of the challenger community since the day it was announced and I am one of the leading posters on the biggest forum about the car. If you really cant believe that a 4 door car can become a 2 door car check out some of the charger conversions. You work at a dealership and asked someone about it though...

  • The Goddamn car looks exactly like a Challenger from the side, top and the inside. The only thing they did was put a different front and rear on it

  • Ya know google isnt so hard to use. You should really stop before you embarrass yourself any further

  • How would I embarrass myself when I know I'm right???????

  • Please man, just fucking look it up. It is 200% a charger. Haha, are you really gonna keep arguing this? Forget it, just replace the + with a period on these links and see for yourself I'm sick of arguing with an idiot.

    autoblog+com/2007/11/30/sema-concept-cuda-to-be-sold-at-barrett-jackson/

  • Ok...you might be right about that particular car, but the one that might be produced by Dodge..not some aftermarket builder...is based on the Challenger.

  • Nothin coming out of dodge as far as a cuda goes. Only possibility of getting a real cuda is the Mr. Norms cuda which is absolutely awesome. And yes, I do realize there is no source I can site on this, but if you know of Bob Frederick, all I have to say is I get any and all challenger related info straight from the source as soon as it is known. Everything else so far about a real cuda is just speculation.

  • i found out that we're both right about the car...lol. I actually emailed Chrysler and the told me that the Charger and the Challenger are built off the same platform. I can honestly say I didn't know that.

  • Yep, the lx/lc platform. The charger, magnum, and 300 are all the lx, and the challenger and 200c coming out are lc (also called ly.) Only real difference is the shortened wheel base for the challenger/200c. The Jeep grand cherokee is on a similar platform as well. Pretty much the easiest way you could have figured that out is that they all have similar/the same components including engine, tranny, and suspension/rear end.

  • @steveo013 yea i think that this car is based off of the challenger if that is what you two are talking about.

  • And apparently youtube comments dont allow for links because i just posted 3 reliable sources that prove you should be working somewhere else...

  • perfect! style and performance 5/5 ... too bad i don't have the chance to get one of these... but can i ask what is the music?

  • royalty free music from Kevin Macleod, that way youtube can't take it down for copyright infringement

  • thx bro :)

  • it's interesting that after 35 years, muscle cars are coming back again, 2005 mustang, 2008 challenger, 2010 camaro, and hopefully a new 'cuda. i think it's because engine technology has advanced enough that you can have powerful engines that still get decent fuel economy and have lower emissions. that should satisfy the folks in washington dc

  • HXC performance has a retro fit kit for the challengers, they change the rear bumper to match the 1971 cuda style, along with front grille, and of course the cover for cuda lights, i think if i were to trade my SRT8 magnum and get a new challenger SRT8, id definetly turn it into a cuda no questions!

  • This is my future car .....

  • Really retro body style, looks cool but what's up the interior, not what the cuda deserves

  • The interior? What about the Walmart grade fog lights?

  • now thats a retro muscle car. the new camaro is nice but theres rele nothing "retro" about it its all modern and the challenger is pretty retro but its bulkyyy. still theyre both sexy but this cuda is an absolutly amazing retro model

  • Nice body but the rims look cheap ass x10!!!

  • muscle cars are makin a comeback! awesome ride

  • oh hell ya

  • Comment removed

  • i hope that really comes out for real

  • Dodge Dart would rape if remade. lol

  • Stupid chrysler fucked itself bankrupt for not remaking the charger and plymouth mopar style

  • gm is not out running mopar. fuckin dumb ass. wtf

  • looks almost identical as the challenger.. pretty sad. I liked the good old time when there was a mopar/gm rivalery but its no longer the case since gm is outrunning mopar badly these days

  • Both Challenger and Cuda are owned by Mopar...

  • mopar is doing a good job in trying to bring these awsome cars back. i just wish they can change the looks on the concept charger.

  • Yes! They totally flopped on the charger remake!

  • bring back the road runner

  • Look 2010 roadrunner concept on google and you will find one. Its based off of a 71 gtx.

  • some on asked why asked why all the new retro cars look like the camaro....challengers design was made b4 the camaro.MOPAR FTW

  • bad ass...

  • The closest I got to a 'cuda was my 'ol dad's 1972 383 Plymouth Fury III 4-door. They'll never bring back the 'cuda, but these concept cars help us to remember a better day.

  • Can anyone tell me if they really are making a new cuda? And if not why they had the concept car at SEMA? And one more thing if their not producing one..., will there be body kits to make the new Challenger look like a Cuda??? Please msg me direct, thanks.

  • theyshould just make them look like the old ones but one major difference.fiberglass instead of pure metal

  • if theyre really bringing back all of these old cars, they should take the designs from the past and make the car exactly like it was produced. like the new camaro in my opinion looks like another everyday car, not a classy old car.

  • Wow, really? Are you blind?

  • That one was at Sema Show '07 dude.. I remember seeing it there.. They aren't making a new gen 'cuda sorry dude..

  • no one wants a 5 spd at the qtr its almost always a 3 with a shift kit or a powerglide

  • what a really really stupid idea to put an automatic transmission in this car
