  • 24 and breaking bad best shows ever

  • Haha, this report is almost as awesome as the show itself! :)

  • IDIOTS its a TV show, not real life, Jack Bauer is amazing (and so it 24), learn whats real and whats fiction

  • You're all a bunch a goddamn pussies.

  • news flash tortue works! thats how we got bin laden! deal with it!

  • @GunslingerA29 news flash your goverment was hiding bin laden he is part of the cia so stfu.

  • @JordoF6 haha wow if you're going to make stuff up then just don't talk dumbass

  • @GunslingerA29 i am not making up anything i work in the irish army rangers but i am actually scottish we work with the cia in chad and one of the lads told myself that osama was kept safe by the cia as a means to prolong the war in the middle east mate stop believing what your goverment says they dont care about you, your little more than cattle.

  • @JordoF6 yeah the CIA goes around telling people top secret information...sure

  • @GunslingerA29 Sigh its not top secret when your part of their team i worked with 5 of their recon guys and who would believe us anyway exactly like you dont believe me now join any army that works with americans and you will see they will spill their secrets if you befriend them.

  • Why is this rated low? It's just information. It may have an extreme liberal spin on it, but it's information nonetheless.

  • The TV show is very entertaining and expertly done, keeps you on the edge of your seat. However, I find it shocking to hear people think this does not influence the US military. In the fictional CTU world, certain rules exist which are "not protocol", rules which Jack Bauer breaks, actions which lead to him being the hero. There are obviously some negative consequences shown, but he always ends up being the bad ass hero, with cool music playing in the background..

  • we need to torture terrorists, they deserve it.

  • CNN<FOX

  • Political correctness ain't got Jack on Bauer

  • Wow... People will blame anything but themselves...

  • yes, because obviously all of us military guys are dumb enough to believe everything in 24 is real. Go screw yourself CNN.

  • @adrumsolo4u oh no! we are all a bunch of idiots with guns didnt you hear?

  • Comment removed

  • i dont see a problem here. and i honestly think torturing iraqi's for information should be aloud.

  • Jack Bauer is god

  • :-)

  • "Why do you suppose a soldier in Iraq would wanna be like... Jack Bauer?"

    what

  • F$#@ these liberals. This is a great show that is fiction. It has nothing to do with politics or political correctness.

  • hell ... i wanna be like jack and im a girl xd

  • ahaha yeah that will be like 24 in real life haha this is great go jack

  • This is retarded. 24 is an awesome show. Stupid fox.

  • So it's a news story explaining that U.S soldiers MAY be taking 24 too seriously? A producer of 24 gives an intelligent response, Kiefer Sutherland explains that they already show negative consequences of torture, the Ministry of Defence explained that their soldiers can tell the difference when it comes to reality and t.v. This makes news in America? Jesus Christ, it's a complete nothing story where the fucking M.O.D had to get involved! Americans: please boycott your shitty news my friends!!

  • The main problem is that Jack Bauer MUST always have his way. And 80% of the time he gets it.

And +50% of the time when he doesn't get his way he'll use back channels or just disobey and do his way sneaky.

So in the end JACK BAUER ALWAYS WINS!!!

  • One of the American propaganda machinery tricks....and comments below just prove that they really know how to do their job.....Vietnam....9/11....."war against terrorism"......

    Really successful brainwashing machinery.

  • 24 is the best show ever and shut the fook up CNN and leave him alone, this show is sick SHut up you ass holes

  • yeah, i find it hard to believe that trained soilders are copying techniches they saw on 24. Thats just laughable. I would think that grown adults who have been trained by the U.S. military know the difference between fiction and reality. Great video though, it made me laugh. A lot.

  • Have you seen the movie Unthinkable? It was good, it really makes you think.

  • shut the fuck up CNN

  • yeah right, like the Geneva Convention is Jack Bauer level awesome.

  • If a nuclear bomb went off in a major city I would want Jack Bauer doing anything/everything possible to hunt down the people responsible. Including torture.

  • Don't try to wrap your head around this. Pathetic cowards like these cannot possibly understand what goes through the minds of soldiers like us. They think soldiers grew up watching too many movies, when in reality we grew up in a household that cares about defending freedom.

  • this is just crap!

  • There's CNN media trying to feed more of their BULLSH*T, trying to say are troops are torturing, and learning tatics from a movie.... Liberal sick media CNN....Liberals do not honor our troops. Liberals want failure to America.......Screw you CNN !!

  • Jack only tourtures when he needs too. The terrorists are somewhat, Negotiable.

  • in my opininion i think its ok to torture someone in order to save thousands.

  • When I watch 24 I think of CTU as the bad guys. It's not that the terrorists are the good guys, they are another kind of bad. And I think 24 is wrong promoting torture and despicable tactics as effective or even heroic things. What's the point of defeating terrorism if in order to do so we become the terrorists themselves?

  • @MastermindX u a vegatarian?

  • @MastermindX I agree, but see you're missing the point. It's just a made up story, it's fiction. I agree torture is wrong in the real world, but 24 isn't real. Its just entertainment. People take it to seriously.

  • THIS IS SPARTAAA!!!!!!!!

  • SO DUMB!! If the choice is torture or let thousands of people die, which are you going to choose?!? its just common sense. everyone knows that the needs of the many out-weigh the needs of the few. plus its one evil guy that everyone wants to see hung for their crimes anyway, and if they intend to kill so many people then they deserve to suffer dont they? so many laws are too pussy now, too lenient. it reflects a lot of american law actually, even though this is a world wide policy we talk about.

  • i'd say, u cnt quite pull the 'try it at home' stunt after watching a fictional tv show...more especially for the soldiers, i'd imagine they shd b wise n smart enuff not to do tht, since they spend a lot more time out in the field n on missions than those who sit home watching 24...jack bauer is a character, not an example....so don't mix up one thing with the other...n more to that, entertainment has no limits, so leave jack alone!!!

  • Someone has to do the wet work. America is at the mall, as long as they have their starbux they don't care how many third world people die.

  • The end justifies the means, if there is a real Jack Bauer in the world, we would be in a safer place.

    JACK BAUER RULES!!!!

  • There are so many horrible things going on in the world right now and people are all worried about what goes on in some tv show? If you cant figure out the difference between fiction and reality than your the one with the problem.

  • How is it 24's fault that solders with training are stupid enough to "try it at home?" Why are people in the government using the actions of a fictional tv character to support their arguments? Are there really people out there that are this stupid and out of touch with reality? And everyone thinks 24 is the scum of the earth because of all this.

  • If you are over the age of five, and cant separate fiction from reality, Im pretty sure there is something wrong with you, and not some tv show writers. I'm sorry, but anyone out there who thinks 24 is "pro-torture propaganda" needs to get their head out of their ass, and get in touch with reality. Get a friggin clue.

  • The whole theme of the series is how people are forced to make impossible choices to protect the things they care about. Jack always faces consequences for his use of torture. Getting upset over a tv show is just strange, and it is a really dumb thing to complain about.

  • Why is this such a big friggin deal? Do you know how many action movies show some type of torture, and graphic violence? Why is 24 suddenly the source of all the world's evil because of some torture scenes? I'm not pro torture, but people it is a FICTIONAL tv series. 24 does not "promote torture," it uses torture to move the plot along.

  • the american news is bull shit thank God that i leave in a clever country

  • They must have never seen Dexter on showtime. 1:14 nice haircut.

  • OH PLEASEEEEEEEE!

  • CNN making another bullshit story no one cares about.

  • hail jack bauer....

kill all the fukin pisslamic terrorist pedophiles....

  • what tha hell...this is bull!!

  • What CNN is forgetting is that Jack Bauer accepts the consequences if he were to be tortured. If you were to be tortured and gave your interrogators information that does not make you Jack Bauer. He thinks what he's doing is right because he can stand the pain.

  • 24 makes me think that if you are a terrorist in the US, your constitutional rights no longer apply.

  • i wish if there is a real jack bauer

a man with honor and dignity

he is the god of loyalty

  • Yeah, it would be so nice if we left the constitution to protect terrorists. They hide behind their attorneys when they know they are guilty.

How is that poetic justice? Torture just makes it easier, you talk, or its more.

  • hell yeah, brother!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • only if they are bad and you are sure they knowing something is when someone should be tortured a bit

  • Absolutely silly. Soldiers participating in interrogation are trained by the military, not by watching episodes of "24." Training includes acceptable and unacceptable techniques. Any analyst/consultant that says anything to the contrary is speculating based on conversations with friends, not officers in the field.

  • Fuck these human rights faggots.

  • People that critice 24 show, is because they KNOW that those things happen in the REAL world. They prefer to deny reality, even when INTELIGENT people now they are lying. Learn something: Reality doesnt change by words.

  • You mean the real world, as opposed to the one where we follow treaties and practice what we preach?

It's funny that you call the "real world" the place where everything, including our own values, are fake.

  • Its a tv show. Only freaking libs would stand in the way of torturing someone even if it meant millions of lives were on the line.

  • THAT is absurd.

  • This is fucking shit, Jack Bauer rules, and if we could do the things he does, America would be a much safer place. Who gives a shit, their terrorists, their not humans

  • Thank god i live in Britian, US news looks like absolute bullshit. It's a tv show. A good one at that, leave it be ffs.

  • this is bullshit

  • oh fuck you! those bastards hijacked flew 2 planes into the twin towers and killed 3,000 people. Who gives a fuck about their "Rights"?!?!? The way i see it, is if you care that much about their rights, then you're no better than one of them. This sickens me that people can be this fuckin stupid. I say do what ever it takes to protect the country. Those bastards gave up their rights the second they got on those planes...

  • stupid liberal media!

  • I don't need to take my time thinking of a witty way to say this;

Wrong, stupid, sorry. If the soldiers overseas cannot distinguish between fiction and a real life situation, there is no reason to spend thousands of dollars training them.

  • LEAVE Jack Bauer alone from this inane political correctness.

  • But it's ok to see the enemy torture our own all the time right? I'm done I promise!

  • And another thing you're only hearing some of the story. The show is 24 hrs long a season and there is so much to it. Jack avoids torture at all costs, but they fail to show you what these people do. The media just jumps to accusations.

    Again...Jack Bauer RULES!!

  • GIVE ME A BREAK!! They only say this since the majority of the soldiers are conservative or on the right side of the political scene, and it's true. I have yet to meet a hardcore liberal that's in the military, they don't even know how to load a gun.

Anyways, influencing torture...NO, it's waking up people that these events are possible. And it shows instances that we have to put our foot down and not be sissies like most of the people on left.

  • Hard to watch? That wasn't hard to watch at all. It was easy enough to be shown on cable tv. They should go watch saw or hostel or one of those movies that really has no plot except that they like to torture people in gruesome ways. Well, the first saw movie was good.

  • Wow that's BS! It's a great tv show and so who gives a fuck if there's torture. Get over It

  • looks like 24 did their job. they got some news station to report on it, thus more people even know about the show, thus people actually watching it, thus more money

  • Give me a fuckin break,,, every other "R" rated movie has someone gettin Murdered,,, do we Provoke Murder??? cmon this is rediculous,,,, monkey sea monkey doo,,, lol

  • They are right, ever since i have watched this show i have noticed that i have become more aggressive. Just the other day my brother took a dvd and didnt tell me so i pumped him with 8 cc's of strientophylimic almost inducing a heart attack and wrapped a plastic bag around his face and shot him in the leg. Happens very day right. Right!

  • WHat was happening during the 1:50 scene, drilling?

  • yup, he got drilled through the shoulder blade

  • I can't believe that military doesn't use torture techniques to get information from terrorists.

  • wow fucking bullshit, dont take away the torture scenes. the us soldiers should have a right to torture criminals and terrorists, the way you fight violence is with more violence, not politics, the day this country learns that is the day the world will be free of terrorists.

  • IMO, Terrorists aren't entitled to their human rights. The moment they decide to torture and kill people, they forefit their human rights.

When it comes to 24, for god sake, it's a TV show. You don't have to treat it seriously. To say that 24 is making US troops torture their prisoners is just shifting the blame.

  • Nice american values, show the world how great you are...

  • LMAO, seductive jack bauer,

"torturing his own brother" so funny. all terrorists shud be tortured 2 death regard less if they have valuable info or not.

    great vid

  • I'm not even all that conservative, but I support torture. If there is even the slightest chance that torturing a terrorist could save lives, it should be carried out. I refuse to believe that those who target non-combatants (especially women and children) are human. There are no human-rights to violate.

Coincidentally, I am a huge fan of 24. Maybe the show is brainwashing me? lolz.

  • jack bauer rules!!!

  • libs, you guys seem to think that we support torture on the spot. we don't. if we CAN get the terrorist to break and not torture him, we will. not only will it shut up liberals, it also leaves the terrorist less traumatized, so he can talk better. however, sometimes, those aren't enough. in jack bauer's case, he needed to get something quickly, so torture was the fastest way. and if the victim lied, he'd torture them more. he also seems to be able to tell if their lying.

  • I love 24!

  • gayest report ever

  • I agree with torture in certain cases, you have to sometimes adapt to your enemy.

  • great movie

  • Torture is evil and it is inexcusable--both when our enemies do it to us AND when we do it to them.

Trying to justify torture is Un-American.

  • GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! OMG people grow up! There's a ton a shows with p*ssy heroes. Leave Jack alone.

  • they need to stop pushing there own agenda on a really good show

  • wow they make it sound like its awfull... his brother tried to kill him several times before in the show and is responsable for killing like 4 of his friend this is bull #@!$

  • il bet none of those reporters have ever seen 24 there is always a reason for the torture

  • 24 FOREVER

    BITCHES

  • serious!

come on shut that shytt upp,

    24 is the greatestt =D

  • Even the liberals don't care about torture. All these hollywood idiots who accuse us of torture make movies like "Hostel." Of course they will say that's different because its fiction. Nevertheless they like the idea.

They like the idea of Denzell Washington sticking C4 in the rectum of a kidnapper. They like the idea of the Punisher stabbing a criminal in the mouth.

So since liberals make movies that gloirify torture, why should I believe that they honestly care about ANYONE being tortured?

  • Nobody teaches anyone how to torture people. Everyone already knows how.Simply imagine the most painful thing you can think of and do it. If anything, you have to teach people how NOT to torture.

This is humanistic, liberal garbage that likely stems from the fact that they can't sleep at night because Americans like a character that does not think that interrogating murderers with violence is morally equivalent to jihadists who enslave women and kill people who disagree with them.

  • I personally think the soldiers that throw their training out the window to be more like a fictional character are idiots. However, I have no opposition to torture, UNLESS of course it's used against an innocent person or for no reason etc. Thanks for your time.

  • Jack Bauer FTW!

  • explain to me in detail how torture is wrong?

I can name you reasons why it's good:

    1. Terrorists torture our troops. Our troops have suffered worse things than what we're dishing out. Torturing a terrorist is justifible. It isn't a matter of what's wrong and right, it's a matter of getting some payback for our troops. there is no right and wrong, just what benefits us and what doesn't.

  • 2. We have long wondered if torture gives us reliable info. However, using a lie detector and torture will give us info. the U.S will not torture an innocent guy, and if the guy really doesn't know, the lie detector will tell us and we will let him go. The only way to fool the lie detector is to use a pill (which i don't think terrorists take regularly) and concentration (try concentrating when you're being tortured). getting the info will help us capture others and save lives.

  • torturing innocents is wrong, that's for sure, but when we have a lie detector, chances of accidentally torturing an innocent is greatly dropped. finally, i do not believe we should give human rights to someone who doesn't care about human rights. if they wanna torture us, why can't we torture them back? and a combo of torture and lie detectors can give us reliable info, so torture works.

AMERICAN LIVES AND SAFETY FIRST, TERRORIST RIGHTS AND WELFARE SECOND!!!

  • Jack always does what is needful to get the right results, questioning alone does not bring the needed information, but Jack with torture gets the information. Jack all the way. If any body thinks torture is the right tool, then let him or her come out with a perfect way of getting information from evil guys.

  • Pfff...It's a damn show, do you know how many movies and shows have torture scenes and even worse stuff? Many. Jack tortures his brother because his brother is a traitor and is involved in blowing up the US, Human Rights First and CNN need to get a grip and calm down. Sutherland's character Jack Bauer does what is necessary for the "24 world" maybe instead of persecuting 24, Human Rights First and CNN should work on bringing our troops home, as is it their [soldiers] right.

  • hahah Jack kicks ass, i wish he wasnt just fiction..

  • CNN sucks! It's just a show, not a commentary dammit! If people can't tell the difference, it's their F'ing problem! Besides, grow a damn pair, geez. "It's torture, wah wah."

  • CNN is a group of stupid liberals. They just used this to say somthing negative about FOX just because CNN is biased and FOX is not.

  • Comment removed

  • we need to start our own CTU.

the more jack bauers there are, the safer the country is.

  • o please get over it you tree hugging liberals!

  • this a tv show you no-life people!

  • Some of these PPL need balls!

  • Jack Bauer for PRESIDENT!

  • HELL YEAH

    JACK BAUER 2012

  • if jack bauer were president, he'd protect the secret service. lol

  • If the Bush officials do have to testify, which I definately hope not, then they should tell the clowns in Washington exactly what Jack Bauer did. Tell them that they used tough interrogation, or torture, which is what Democrats call putting water up someones nose for a couple minutes, that they did these things in order to find info about terror and keep us safe. And it worked.

  • wow. democrats are pissed about waterboarding.

isn't that the same thing as giving someone a swirly? seriously, big brothers do that to their siblings and nothing bad seems to be happening.

  • If people are sop concerned about this why is there an insistance that they can tell the difference between reality and TV?

If this is happening it is the fault of the people doing it and those people should have been screened in some way.

  • cnn liberals = people who can't stop complaining

seriously, for one thing, this is a tv show, so what's so bad about it? i've seen movies that do things that are 100X worse, and they don't seem to be complaining.

second of all, terrorists have to be tortured. first of all, they torture our troops whether we do it or not. they don't give a **** about human rights. Also, it should be America's safety first, terrorist welfare second. if there was a bomb that was gonna go off, we should do

  • everything we can to stop them. who cares about the terrorist's welfare when there's a nuclear bomb?

so there, what's wrong with torturing terrorists. it's justifiable. terrorists torture our troops, we torture them back. even then, our type of torture, even on 24, isn't as bad as the torture done by the terrorists (one terrorist chopped off some guy's head and posted a picture of him holding it online).

  • 2:37 is James Heller's son. Episode 5 or 6? from season 4 for sure.

  • Of fuck. I watched 24 a couple of seasons. But I mean... do you really wanna be Jack? Okey, he is always right in the end, and saves the day. But his personal life is fucked up. I don't wanna be Jack Baur.

  • Teaching torture tactics on this show has just as much impact and influence ideas on US Troops as it does on all other world troops.

  • What is 2:37 from?

  • Jack Bauer for President. WTF like really, hopefully there are Jack Bauers in our secret services.

  • if jack bauer was the president, he'd protect the secret service.

  • jack bauer does not go far enough, people are trying to kill you, they laugh in your face while they are attacking you, we need more jack bauer, I would be glad to have jack bauer's job.

  • i believe that if you have to save thousands of people and there one guy who knows were w/e is do what you have to cause ur saving alote of lives and the person reamins alive just a lil jacked up

  • Marines get Interrorgation Training from the C.I.A. !! Search for KUBARK its a training manual, I have met people in UK SF who were trained by MI6 to extract information out of people in 20 minutes or less, This video claimed that the tv show trained the Abu Garib marines to torture prisoners its total bullshit, the grunts got screwed wen they were instructed to do so by a C.I.A. OP for a PR campaign so the pentagon could claim they were accountable ! how come no ranking officer was Busted?

  • the fucking media is amazing....now they blame 24...fkn ridiculous

  • its not disterbing cause if terrest have a dam bomb then they deserve to get torurted

  • DAMN IT!!!

  • theies poeple are fucking crazy its a tv show get yhe dfuck over it

  • hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhaa

  • Torture will always be there, no matter how much any administration cracks down on it. It is the most lethal and useful method to get information, considered that the suspect indeed is guilty. Everyone cracks under pain, the question is who gives the right information.

  • Please tell me that they are learning to torture terrorists. The more the better. The torture of terrorist should be a number one priority.

  • Oh and Human Rights First a question for you:

Do any of you have Children? If so, another question, if two crazy pedophiles kidnapped your child, and you found one of them before the police did, what would you do? Politely ask him? Or beat the living daylights out of him and/or do whatever necessary to find your child?

If you say you would be concerned about his rights, you are a LIAR.

  • If there ever is a threat like the one's in 24, I want someone like Jack Bauer to handle stopping it!

  • These idiot moonbat liberals worried that a TV show teaches soldiers.

That's how far out of touch the so-called "Human Rights First" clowns are.

It should be called "Terrorist Rights First."

  • o so instead of talking about issues that are acutally important they all just complain about random stuff in hope that they will get a few ratings lol not gonna happen lololololol

  • Oh this is a load of crap. I considered torturing terrorists many years before 24 was even released. They are not combatants and therefore do not fall under the laws of war.

  • okay, this is bullshit, i think. instead of reporting on some shit like this, they should actually tell us what is happening in iraq and afghanistan. not this "24 is a subliminal message for torture" people need to stop blaming tv shows for shit that happens

  • All right, let's get something straight. The Geneva Convention protects SOLDIERS of a sovereign nation from torture and mistreatment. Neither the US nor any other country extends Geneva to spies or other enemy agents, because they are not acting as legitimate combatants.

Terrorists/insurgents are NOT SOLDIERS. What nation's military do they belong to? Exactly. Guess what? They are NOT protected, if you want to be technical about it. Just be thankful we're more restrained than other countries.

  • ... Whatever man. 24 rules my fucking life. Jack Bauer ftw!

  • I love 24, its fictional! There making such a big deal about it.

  • Damned, 24 is only a fiction !!!

  • totally agree!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • "Jack Bauer is always right.."?

Don't think so. THe guy's not perfect!!

  • He's also fictional...

  • Don't fuck with Bauer, capishe?

  • Disturbing to watch??? people need to get a grip. Its not real its a fake tv program, so am unsure how people can be affected by it. The media need to stop trying to impose their views on its audeinces with this use of english. Its unethical, biased and not very critical.

  • "The media need to stop trying to impose their views on its audeinces with this use of english. Its unethical, biased and not very critical."

It's not unethical to ask questions about trends in movies and television.

Asking questions is what the press DOES.

On the contrary, saying the press doesn't have the right to investigate this, is biased.

I think you have the wrong idea about this. Talking about something is not imposing your views, it's sharing them.

  • Hey Jkirk3279

Thanks for taking the time to reply and a very good one.

I disagree with the news because the use of wording they chose. I find it hard to believe acting is disturbing to watch (unless its bad acting).

If soldiers can be influenced by a fictional TV program then its not the show that is to blame but the system they are taught. So the press should be investigating the armys teaching methods rather than the show.

    :)
