I rode on this ride when it was still at Crystal Beach which tells you how old I am. First time I got to go on it I was 7 years old. In that day this things was quite a thrill, especially because coming out of the first drop you headed right for Lake Erie which it was next to and it lookexd like you were going to fly off into the lake. I know compared to the coasters today it's nothing special but it sure was back then. Those were good days.

I just got back from a field trip with my school and this was the firsr coaster we whent on,and my first one EVER and then we whent on super duper looper, second roller coaster ever, and first flip ever! Up next to try....FAHRENHEIT!!ahah,but Great Bear first,lol!

@prydainruls next time you go, ride the great bear, if u sit in the back seat, u cant see anything except for the other persons seat infront of you, it is a great ride. i started by sitting on the back of the coaster and then the 2nd i rode the bear, i rode in the front which was very fun.

i agree, i never get in line for this if it's longer than that blue wall that seperates the majority of the waiting area from the ride, but it is fun.

this is not the best wooden ride in hershey park...it's too relaxed...this ride is for kids who just started going on roller coasters...I stopped going on this when I was 8, maybe 9...I think the best wooden ride would be the lightning the racer...or the wild cat!

Dude sometimes a relaxed ride that is fast is better than some of the extrem rides.

Plus I heard they put new cars on Wildcat and its not as jerkey as it used to be. : (

Anyway yeah if you must diagree I'll agree that Wildcat is one bad MoFo. :)

This is the best woodie IMO. This coaster has potential to be one of the best woodies ever made. Every hill you see here is packed with so mch floater in everyseat. This is amazing, it's like a B&M Hyper (minus the smoothness).

im going to hershey today and ive never been a big roller coaster anymore, all my friends tell me this one is so fun and should definiely be first but idk i read all the comments and it seems like people dont like it.

this ride is awsome. I rode it a few days ago. Be sure to unbuckle your seatbelt though on the way up. That way you come 6" off your seat. The lap bar dosn't come all the way down ethier. I got so much airtime on this. The back is really intense though. Sit in the front. And don't hold on. You will love it. It's my #5 out of all my coasters I've been on.

this roller coaster was fun. i just went today. one of my first roller coasters i went on in hershey park =]. it was pretty fun with the big drop in the beginning but then it got kinda boring and bumpy. it started to hurt my back during the turns cuz its not smooth like a metal one. but overall one of a clasic rollercoasters at hershey park and a must ride for beginners. =] (wow its a 96 ft drop?? i never knew that lol)

this was my first roller coaster ever, and ill tell yah..not a good idea. wooden ones are rough, but i always thought the big metal ones like great bear were worse. WRONG! im going this summer and im gonna go on all the roller coasters there, and to tell you the truth...i'd rather go on the storm runner than this. though the comet WAS fun..

Really? I didn't do Storm Runner..too scared. The wooden coasters are fun, but they are bumpy and sometimes give me a headache. I had to wait over an hour for this, and it was my least favorite wooden coaster, but it was still cool.

i dont get why people keep complaining of aches on pains on rollercoasters.. ive never had any. they're probably old then cause i go on wooden rollercoasters and they're fun and a bit bumpy but i never get pains from them.. and IMO steel coasters like Great Bear are even better.. I know, ive ridden them! they're amazing, smoother, and can do more stuff! btw coasters are only scary when you look at it and realize what you'd be doing. on the ride its 2343343x better. dont ride? you'll regret it!
