This is a very nice video Hogger; Its a shame your friend lost his battle with cancer. He's not suffering anymore; he's watching down on you as we speak
This is my absolute favorite video. The music does not want out of my ears. Miles makes a sympathetic impression. Nice video with a sad background. It run a few tears on my face.
Hey this is a great video about Miles..He was one of my best friends through all our school years.. I work for CP in there S&C dept.. and I was working in Cornwall when I heard the news that he had passed away. He had told me to stop in and see him When I was going through Mattawa about a month before he passed away but I was running late and deciede not to.. Now I wish I would have.. I will always remember him.. He was a great person and a great friend...
R.I.P Miles. I don't know you, but you must have been a hell of a person to have someone make a video like that in your honor. And this world will be just that much darker because of your passing.
Makes me think I messed up in my career choice. I have always loved farming and trains. I choose to work for a large hog farm. Seriously thinking of switching to the locomotives.
thats so sad that he died, nice video though, what railroad you on? i want to be an engineer but im worrying about if they move me, which is why id want to work for a branch line
This video belongs in the Railroad Engineers Hall of Fame. If there is no such Hall of Fame there should be. I have looked at all your videos and I am very impressed. Do you usually run two EMDs or are there other types available? RIP Miles.
Thanks for the positive input, it's appreciated. We normally run 2 GP38-2's in our consist. We have 5 locomotives on hand 3 GP38's a GP35 and an SD18.
In Canada, the best way to hire on the railway is to take a "Conductors Course" offered at Colleges. George Brown College in Toronto offers this course. Once you hire on CN, CP or what ever other railway, the engineers course is internal. I hope this helps.
I have 2 question for you ! miles is it the guy in the locomotive at the end of the video ?? and wich company do you work ?? thank to answer me an very good video!!
Hi dave, I am Miles closer cousin, his dad is my moms brother. I always visited him when we went up north to Mattawa every year, we went swimming and fishing together alot, last time a saw him was two yrs ago when I went to visit him. Its a shame he lost the battle but all the while he was optimistic about living his life to the fullest. He will be missed. Great work on the video Dave. Take Care!
After a 5 year battle with cancer, Miles passed away peacefully Tuesday morning Sept. 25 2007. Miles was 37 years old, he leaves behind his loving wife and 6 year old son.
He loved working on the railroad and will be missed.
