  • He has that voice that reminds me of billy mays. You know what really "BOTHERS ME" is your voice. After viewing I was motivated enough to make my own, I skipped your website entirely. Thanks for the design tips.

  • lol >:)

  • Using an old tennis or badminton racket is fun. I HATE carpenter bees.

  • 1 firework = bye bye house

  • Too bad there's no trap for you, you old fool.

  • excellent narration

  • These little effers keep drilling holes in the support beams of our house. And whats worse is that they dont go away! x.x

  • i use an electric airsoft gun, full auto @ 370 fps, oh it's a blast. but this is an awesome idea. do you have any suggestions for Japanese hornets? i shoot them too, they fly down and catch my honey bees, but i cant stand out there all day.... or sit

  • Be careful, they can kill in one sting, and they can break into your house.

  • I have a butterfly net I use to catch bugs for my lizards, one day I wound up catching over 15 carpenter bees .. once they're inside the netting, just wack it on the sidewalk a few times and they die! I've reduced a large quanity already and it's really easy to do

  • super important for pollenation - were needing bees preserved as mush as possible - i wonder if theres a way to repel them (wood pyrethrin treatment spray), without having to kill them.

  • There's like 100 kinds of bees in America, killing off carpenter bees around your house isn't too bad... actually it frees up resources for the other kinds of bees like honey bees.

  • For those without these traps, badminton rackets that you can get at thrift stores for $1 make good swatters to kill carpenter bees. Much easier than bb guns. Just go out daily and kill a few and you will control them. I am going to try to build one of these traps though.

  • do you know how to tell which ones are females?

  • Hello raging, I can't tell which are females. I know that they are the ones that sting but I have been buzzed thousands of times but never stung. These bees drill into my metal roof carport treated wood supports. When you find holes in your wood, spray in some auto parts store throttle body cleaner. Then mix up some Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty, from hardware stores, and fill in the holes. I found a bee trap like the one on this site helpful only after you fill in the holes. Ipaintwoodsoon.

  • thanks for the advice, i have a bit of a problem with my carport and part of my porch

    i will try your suggestions

    but thanks again

  • well the male has white on its face ...
