I'm currently making an HD documentary about skaters rights to public space in London. I'm currently pooling opinions and getting some good interviews set up. If you feel passionately about saving the undercroft, and even restoring it to its former glory, let me know. Or even if u rekon u could lay down a switch trey or a tasty little combo, the film should get some decent circulation and the footage will get back to you. Peace and save the Southbank
Not only is graffiti ignored as a form of artistic expression but its participants are prosectuted and paraded in front of the 'law abiding' as the skum of london and lost causes.
Whilst painting I was informed by two self righteous police wannabees (community support) that the Bricklane Hall of Fame is no longer a legal place for graffiti and if i were to continue i would be prosecuted...
I Just watched this film on 'Dont Watch That TV', (live webpage) its a very interesting film but I am totally confused by the choice the film makers made to ignore one of the most important part of Southbank culture....
GRAFFITI!
The skaters do bring a good reflection of youth and urban culture but is constantly set on a backdrop of some of the best graffiti artists in the world exhibited for all of the tourists, workers and 'southbank security' to drewl over!
the movement of capitalism into this area is depressing , true it brings more people to the southbank , but it is so different ,ahh modernism what can we do?

the new shops on southbank are pointless, a cd/dvd shop - WTF! Also the food shops are already way too expensive.
The skaters and sometimes BMX and blades always draws a crowd, its shows off British culture, that's wat tourists came to see!!!
