Not exactly. I'm pretty sure Street Fighter came first. SNK's various fighting games came up as new challengers.

Cool, a lot of combos I didn't know, especially air juggle ones. Damn I played this game for many years, what a shame. Here is one I didn't see: Kasumi, J C 2hits, land, standing D>2C>far C>236236A>C+D guaranteed faint vs everyone but kasumi herself and Rugal. Saiyu's infinite also works on Kasumi.
