But that 2:10 riff, I mean, it's like they summoned a load of pure win energy into a riff format and this is what came out. They did a lot of that on obZen, too (the album). The breakdown in Pravus is just fucking legendary, and then Bleed, I mean how does that song even exist? Meshuggah. They are just pure win.

yes, I agree with everyone; 2:10 is epic as shit. but how the hell does nobody recognize the scream at 0:31!?!?!?!?!?! That scream (and the music to accompany it) is even a little heavier to me! NOTHING IS ALL, ALL IS CONTRADICTION, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@sleepalace the scream is indeed brandishing the hellish ruckass that is this song- the fatalistic guitar playing an almost demonic disco tune brings the word ''HELL'' home to roost :)

every time I get high - and I mean EVERY time - I listen to this album. Point blank, this album offers a new experience each time I listen to it. Not only high but even sane. Only Meshuggah creates modern music this deep, fundamental, and immersible imo.
I already have "Alive" preordered w/ hoodie and poster. If you're stoked about "Alive" thumbs up.

@clarkshapedbox Haha. To this day I'm still floored by Catch 33. Just the entire album as a whole and all of the revolutionary music in between. But that 2:10 riff, I mean, it's like they summoned a load of pure win energy into a riff format and this is what came out. They did a lot of that on obZen, too (the album). The breakdown in Pravus is just fucking legendary, and then Bleed, I mean how does that song even exist? Meshuggah. They are just pure win.

@supah1337B Oh hell yeah, man I'm so impressed with Meshuggah's track record, every single one of their albums (full studio releases + "I" EP), as they have been chronologically released, has just gotten better and more groundbreaking as they've went along. Just a completely inspiring band all around.

Also I honestly forget how being high actually feels lol Life became a priority so I had to stop enjoying that lifestyle while i get things together..finacially, career, etc.
