So a guy wants a national resource of his country to stay in his country and we have the CIA go in and kill him and put in a dictator. And somhow communisum is the evil one?
This is all based upon lies. Mossadegh was not 'democratically' elected. He was appointed Prime Minister by the Majlis (Parliament of Iran) and immediately started on a course of instituting his marxist ideas, declaring Marshall Law, and pressing the Shah for control of the military.
And I'm tired of people saying "The CIA overthrew him" as though England had nothing to do with this. England was ready to go to war, and the US intervened to avoid a war.
i'll debate any1 my position is that mosadeq was far less compident than the shah in EVERY sence of the word
also i'v never met a mosadeq supporter that can put up a prober argument 4 him really i'v never met 1 that was really politically or historicly educated and coz of this i can aticipate there reaction 2 my comment there just going to thumb down me and present no real argument
And you are calling yourself educated? You idiot Shahollahi at least first learn how to write and then make such an idiotic statements. You dummy, "compident" is wrong, "competent" is correct. Even Shaaban Bimokh was more intelligent and educated than you typical ignorant Shahollahies.
Shah was american and british slave . Cia documentry has proven that. even united state has addmited it! wake up hamvatan! every one love shah these days because of lack of freedom and circumstances in iran. but shah was no better than current regime. He was placed in charge by us and when he traveled to italy and mosadegh kodeta took place US help shah to regain his power. allthough SHah did some good things but history will never forget or forgive him for persioning Dr. Mosadegh.
@TheguardianofIran Don't you see? The Shah's regime was a mere dictatorship governed by an iron fist. The Shah's notoriously repressive secret police Savak was itself trained by Mossad and the CIA. Mossadegh represented the Iranian people. He was the Prime Minister of Iran for 26 months from 1951 to 1953 who headed the moderate nationalist, democratic government.

mossadeq married his own cousin :) also i'm reading a book about the perisan empire and korosh was such a gr8 guy
but look think about it lets compare mossadeq and pahlavi with the results of there actions
mad man mosaedqe:
demands military control of the country and natonalizes the countrys oil with out concidering the consquences and destroys the iranian econamy
shah:
natonalizes the oil in 1954 there are not negative repercusions and the iranian econamy grows
u tell me whos better?

@sevak67 He held legitimate power through democratic elections unlike the Shah who was placed there by the CIA and others.
Mossadegh met the views of the Iranian people, while the Shah was a puppet of the United States and the West.
