@babs2002ukus one more question mate .. prior to the logic studio software was you using Garageband ? and if so after buying logic pro or the other logic what is the difference in quality of sound and over all that you have noticed . be great to get an answer thanks
@peterpetersnbg prior to Logic i was a PC user using ableton and cubase but I still use garageband every now and then for demos and tbh there is absolutely no difference in the quality of the sound between logic and garageband in my honest opinion for recording and using there amp simulators
Actually - for once, some playing that doesn't employ stupid, over the top vibrato. Well done - I believe Gilmour is light on the vibrato, unlike the normal cheesy youtube guitar hack. However, my one criticism would be that the sound is a bit over-processed. I guess this is the nature of using something like Logic.
@vitsamutsu i'd have to agree that the sound is abit over-processed and not quite in the same league as proper amplifiers yet but do think were heading in the right direction, and since this video I've been trying out other guitar software such as guitar rig 4 and amplitube 3 and their really getting it all together now.
@sild123 see wasn't that hard friend was it? your latter comment is alot more constructive and i appreciate that and I agree that the vibrato would improve the solo/sound overall its something to work towards i suppose :)
@babs2002ukus haha, sorry, it's also my first time to give such a random comment, but i guess my point still there. that, im serious. learn slow vibrato first, because most of the time beginners want to go fast and the fail. my influence is, marty friedman, andy timmons, marco sfogli. they have some really good, fast and slow vibrato. i think vibrato is very important, even i still working on it. good luck bro!
Hi, very nice job. 5 stars. This solo is really wonderful. I wanna know something... how are you using ur guitar into the mac? Just plugged into the built in? Through a usb interface? Through a firewire interface? I'm interested cos i'm planning to use logic as my main equipment. Thanks!
Which one ur using? Edirol, Fast Track, Roland? I'm really interested in buying an audio interface, and i really aprecciate the quality sound ur getting from ur setup. Oh, and another question (last one lol) Do you like ur Alesis monitors? Is it worth?
@nednada I was using a M-audio Firewire Solo I now use a Apogee Duet which is amazing tbh for the A/D convertors and yes I love the Alesis monitors but if I had abit more of a budget I would buy the KRK RP G2 monitors instead, but still the monitors i use are still very very good and give very good flat response
Wish I had your "weak" lead guitar skills (as you put it). Killer guitar solo nailed. I give you and Logic 9 guitar effects a big tick. Now lets hear your full arrangement of the song (perhaps with some help from Doc Castille).
ok, i'm having a hell of a time with amp designer and pedalboard. I'm interfacint with an alesis multimix12 firewire and I get nothing but buzz at decent gain levels. I can throw on a limiter but that kills any sustained notes. any suggestions as to figuring this thing out?
my initial thought to your problem my friend would be the pickups on your guitar causing a buzz and maybe make sure you have decent 'balanced' cables going to your monitors, other than that you could try applying a noise gate on your signal-chain to minimise the buzz you are getting
you want to watch the videos of him and his dad there twins when it comes to pulling faces whilst playing its cos of the concentration of what there doing - Babsie
what weak skill? got to hand it to you, Clint. wish i had the technical know-how to learn all the software that is available for music apps but i will just stick to point the cam and record.
tbh mate I owe alot to Doc Castille since i first started posting on YT he showed me a heck of alot and the rest was learning from college, but sometimes its easy to get lost in the toys and still the raw point and shoot wins it for me everytime mate
omg Clint you always underestimate your skills ....oh well maybe the guys and girls on here can convince you of what i have said for years Clint son.......... that was fantastic (he will probably kill me for this comment ) - love mum (Babs) xxx
hey matey electric guitar lead is something i've always wanted to do well but at times found my fingers not being nimble enough, probably bad habit of finger placement when learning as a kid.
Excellent, but I hae to admit to be a tad disappointed. When I clicked and saw it was a leadwork vid, I was hoping you would be doing the solo the the actual song "The FInal Cut" as well as Time.
Never you mind that, though. What you did was fabulous, it was just a matter of my own expectations.
What settings were you using?

its coming out of my alesis m1 active monitors and yeh if you take the output from the sound card you can feed it to an amp or pa system :)
