  • where was this one made? sorry if you've been asked.

  • @sjonesm Taiwan I haven't seen that many Japanese ones (compared to say BF-2s and CE-2s)

  • I love this phaser. More pronounced than the phase 90 and small stone, though some may not like that. I really like that it can be distinct as hell, or very subtle.

  • Great demo!

    Thanks!

I hate pedals Boss (EHX or MXR are much better), but your video is very good for listening this Boss phaser.

  • @ElPayasete In my opinion there are a few good boss pedals useful for the money especially but EHX and MXR make much more interesting and individual effects

  • cool i got this pedal for 20 dollars sounds nice

  • All the lonely people.. How does it sound with some overdrive??

  • All the lonely people..

  • can boss ph2 produce sound-like of mxr phase 90?

  • @nuj2d Different sounding phasers ones a 10/12 stage other is a 4 stage

  • made of stone sr XD

  • can you get that 2,4 6, stage sound if you put the depth very low?

  • @yutuubfreak not really very different harmonics I also have a phase 100 which i think is 6 stage and i can get kinda close but it is still different nothing like a 2 or 4 stage though

  • @yutuubfreak the amount of stages is independent from the depth setting.

  • whats the difference between a phaser and a chorus??

  • Give me a recommendation of what I should buy, this or the PH3 in terms of it's phase effect. Thanks. :)

  • @tmuri1966 The PH-3 is more versatile but sounds a little cold and digital. The PH-2 is far from a warm phaser and has a certain cold slightly nasal 10 stage characteristic which I really enjoy its a more modern cleaner sounding phaser. Head to head I chose the PH-2 but you cant get subtle or vintage style phase tones. There are better more versatile and warmer phasers out there and stuff like the Phase 90 and Small Stone are better for vintage 4 stage sounds.

  • @JimijaymesGuitarist Also definitely worth checking out is the Fender Phaser. Got that hooked up to my Fender Rhodes and not only does it match it perfectly in style, visually, but it gives a nice organic phase. Definitely up there with the Phase 100.

  • boss suppah phasah

  • stone roses ftw!

  • I need a decnt phaser so ican play Joker and the thief by Wolfmother for school and Butterflies and Hurricanes by Muse would this provide good sound for them???

  • @Jackisawesum1234 For classic stuff and a more normal phase sound you probably want a 4 stage like a small stone or phase 90. Behringer make cheaper versions if your on a budget. The PH-2 has more dreamy and extreme phase sounds

  • ok thanks man

  • what do the stages mean?

  • the more stages the more peaks and troughs in the wave which is kinda hard to explain when it comes to audio. Have a look at phasers on wikipedia as it gives you some alright info.

  • @JimijaymesGuitarist okie dokie, thanks!

  • Good demo; very informative! I'm impressed by the pedal (even if I do have a soft spot for old Boss). Nicely done. :-)

  • was the difference between phaser, chorus and flanger? because to me they all sound them same...

  • Very different. Phasers basically change the phase bringing it ina dn out of phase. Whereas chorus and flanger use delay and then modulate it. Flanger can sound like chorus, phaser can sound like flanger but they are distinct.

  • the phaser and the flanger, gives diferents features to the sound.... lisen better than the last time...... and the chorus give more voices to the wave....

  • I just got a boss ph 2 but i dont know any songs to use it for can u give me some

  • @campy46731 Try Pink Floyd's 'Have a Cigar'. You could also use it for an awful lot of their other songs that use other swirly modulation effects, such as Breathe, Shine On, etc. And if you're into this sort of music, you could try Dream Theater's 'Goodnight Kiss'.

  • @campy46731 listen to incubus

  • Is it good for funk?

  • I reckon it is. It is very funky on mode II. Can be too extreme at some settings but nice.
